Chit Chatter Electronic Sound Cat Toy, Battery Powered - Randomly Selected Color, One Size

This toy is really cute and the sounds are not overpowering or loud so they don't bother me even when my kitten wakes up and plays in the middle of the night, but the little chirps definitely entice my kitten to play and comes running when it goes off. So far its held up very well to the bites and beating. My kitten really loves it, but is not picky. I was planning on getting another but when I bought mine it was $8 and the price has since raised to almost $12. For $8 I think it's cute and worth every penny, but I don't know if I would buy it again for $12. I keep it in my saved items though just in case the price decreases again. So far the battery still working, but its only been about 2 months. My older cat doesn't bother with it, but my older cat doesn't bother any toys too often.

This has been a go-to toy for my cats over the years. Even one of my dogs preferred it to all her toys. Even with almost constant use, the battery lasted several years. It did get a little quieter during the last year of battery life, but it still loud enough to be heard through the house. We bought new one when we adopted a new kitten. He, like all the ones before him, immediately started swatting it across the floor, pouncing on it, and racing through the house with it in his mouth. It has been several months and still loves his Chickadee.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have a 10.5-year-old male cat and a 7-year-old female, (both ‘rescues’). Over the years, they've received a rather large collection of toys. They have a toy box upstairs and down, which hold their collection whenever I gather them up while cleaning the house. I first bought the SmartyKat Chit Chatter toy about 2 or 3 years ago and it was immediately obvious that my female cat loved it! Over the years, of all the toys she has and plays with, the SmartyKat Chit Chatter (with what looks to me like a “blue mustache”), is the one toy she ALWAYS carries over to me when she wants to play! Seriously! Anyway, I noticed that even though her favorite toy still chatters, it was showing signs of being well-used. So, a week ago, I bought a flurry of new toys for the two of them. But I had forgotten the name of the toy that my female cat loved so much. My search through the list of my Amazon previously purchased cat toys didn’t help because many of the items didn’t have any pictures. I spent almost an hour going through page after page of cat toys in Amazon as I searched for that "blue-mustached ball". Then, when I was about to give up, I found it!! I was very happy that I made the extra effort because when all their new toys in the Amazon order arrived, it wasn’t long before I felt (and heard) a toy bounce off my foot! Yes, my female was now bringing the new "blue-mustached ball" to me to play! I know cats tend to have their personal preferences for everything from food, to beds, to toys and more, so I can’t guarantee that your cat will love this toy as much as mine does. But at under $7.00, it’s well worth spending for your cat! I strongly recommend it and as I mentioned earlier, the chatter-box in the first one that I bought 3 years ago is still working perfectly. It’s safe to say that the sound the toy makes will last as long as the toy’s construction, if not longer! 5-STARS ALL THE WAY!

First and foremost my cats LOVE this thing. The good: They love this thing. It chirps and is noisy and they attack it relentlessly. Its totally cute. They get lots of exercise chasing it around. They play with it all the time. I bought it for them for Christmas so this is my 3 month review. The first day was awesome. chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp constantly as they gang chased this thing around the house. I thought I had scored the big score with my cats until: The bad: They love this thing. It chirps and is noisy and they attack it relentlessly, I realized laying in bed at 2 AM listening to chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp that I have made a terrible mistake. My cats have ripped into this thing for 3 months. Annoyed me to no end with it. They absolutely are still in love with this thing. I cannot touch it, its disgusting and covered in drool, spit, slime, hair, floor gunk, and slobber. It make me shudder to touch it. Meanwhile the cats are still trying to kill it all the time and chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp. Did I mention chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp? Yeah it does this chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp thing. I would give this a 5 star review, because that is what the cats would give it. I would give it a 1 star review because chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp. So I will be fair and say it should be a 5 but I am giving it 4 because the person that invented this thing... did a great job... and ... someone should give him a good slap (in a non-malicious way). Did mention the cats love this thing? Did I mention chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp? Wilson loves this toy!! He carries it around with him and tosses it in the air. So darn cute!! I love when we are sleeping at night and we hear the bird chirping and the next thing is him hopping in bed with us. It is the chickadee bird we got and he does hide it in his water and/or litter on occasion. That's why I have 4 on deck for him whenever he needs them. One thing nice too is they don't all have the same kind of chirping. They have different bird sounds that keep him interested. Wilson is 9 months now and the picture of him was when he was only 10 weeks. Anyway, this is a toy that will be available for him at all times.

My cat ADORES this toy! It’s definitely his fave. He has some of the less expensive versions, but they do NOT hold up like this one. I would gladly spend the extra money for the difference in quality. Your cat will LOVE this fantastic toy!

Super cute toy! It makes sounds just like a squirrel. My cat loves this toy! I gave it a low rating because the feathers on the bottom fell out the first day and also the ribbon around its neck.
