Do superworms eat this bedding as well? Is it a source of food for them?

Yes they will eat the bedding, however it is much better to put a small piece of carrot and some small pieces of lettuce in with them. They eat the veggies and it is a source of water for them as the bedding is very dry. What I do is put them in a larger container, put in a small piece of cardboard or cardstock and lay the carrot and lettuce on it so that it doesn't get the bedding wet because it can cause mold. However they will pull them off the cardboard. And once the veggies start drying out I change them about once a week.
