I love the mattress protector! The instructions state this is a two person job to initially get this on. They are NOT lying. So if you are like me you tried to surprise your girlfriend while she was at work and realized doing this by yourself is near impossible. You will then call your friend and convince him to come hang out with no secret plans of forced labor upon arrival. Upon arrival force said friend to lift bed and help wrap the bottom around the base of the mattress. Once the mattress protector is actually installed though it's actually a really nice quality item. Regular maintenance of it is not bad as you will typically be washing the top far more and can leave the bottom in place. Once washed simply zip the top back on and your good to go again. it is a little bit plastic sounding its not as soft as my casper mattress by itself that is for sure. I do not feel hot sleeping on it at all though and it works out great when your having fun in the sheets after all, its waterproof!

It isn't coated in anything - it's just fabric and liquid goes right through it. It also isn't temperature regulating - it's INCREDIBLY hot when you sleep on it, and I am not someone who sleeps hot in the first place, I am generally always cold. It's a pain to get on the mattress, which was expected, but the zipper is pretty terrible and made for extra hassle. It's so bad I'm not even sure I got a genuine item, since all the other reviews seem so good. But ours was worse than a $30 walmart mattress protector, by far, and we completely wasted almost $200 on this. I would've returned it for a refund, but of course we couldn't discover how bad it was until we'd been using it for awhile and the return window was closed.

I live on the lower level of a townhome where the temperature is always colder than the upper level. I realized the reason my mattress was uncomfortably cold to sleep on was because my mattress protector was made out of plastic and gave my mattress an "always cold" feeling. I removed it, and the problem went away, but then I didn't have a mattress protector. First I tried the SureGuard mattress protector, but it had the same issue - cold plastic feeling. Then I tried this one. Ironically, this one is way to hot. I'd wake up in a sweat (something that did not happen with my to cold mattress protector or no mattress protector). And again the context is that I was looking for something warmer. So I'm not sure this would work for anyone. It's just to hot, even for someone like me who was looking for a warmer mattress protector. Another issue was trying to figure out how to get it onto the mattress and which side was up. I think I got it right, but it's bizarrely difficult. And I had no problems figuring out either issue on the SureGuard mattress encasement I tried before or the Saferest model I'm trying now.

I've had this on my mattress for a few weeks now, and it seems to have solved the issue I had with my previous cover, which seemed to retain soooo much heat every single night. I wouldn't say the bed stays 100% COOL throughout the night, but it doesn't heat up so bad that I wake up sweating, ether. Plus, this protector was so much cheaper than a lot of the other "cooling" products out there... I'd definitely recommend this as a cost-effective problem-solver if you're having a similar issue.

This seems like a great mattress. (i just unboxed it, haven't tested it yet other than lying on it for a moment). Will update review later if I am not satisfied. Very annoying to put on at first though. If anyone is having trouble: what I did was unzip both pieces (the top and bottom are completely separate so you can easily launder just the top half if you want). First I put the top half (the one that is longer) on top of my mattress. Then I took the bottom half (the shorter) and found the zipper ends and attached them. Then I just closed the zipper, tilting and turning the mattress as needed to get the bottom half to conform until I zipped it up completely. The issue I was having I think was that I didn't realize the bottom half is much shorter than the top and I probably was trying to put it on upside down leading to frustration.

Mixed feelings on this. Zip around makes it easy for cleaning, so that's a plus. It's too big for our mattress (our mattress is 12" plus an extra 2"+ mattress topper.) But the part that's the most disappointing is that it still feels like all the others in terms of trapping heat. So, for the price and for what we were hoping it would achieve and surpass others (not trap heat), it didn't impress. There are other encasements out there that do the same job and don't cost as much.

Purchased this item and do not regret it. Proved it's value less than 30 days after purchase. I was working on a project and set my coffee tumbler next to me, forgot about it & went to get up. Unfortunately I didn't cap it correctly & a good 12 of 16 oz poured out. Thankfully the Sleep Tite case did it's job, my mattress is still in perfect condition. Washed with hot watered as directed, a very faint coffee color is still here but coffee and white aren't friends. My one complaint with the product is that the if I haven't been in the bed all day when you finally jump in bed, the air trapped in the Tempur-Pedic causes a huge bubble that causes the fitted Malouf sheet to pop off. I've tried everything to NOT have the air pocket situation occur but it's the cost of protecting an expensive bed, so be it. If there was a side vent, that would greatly help the issue. Aside from that, I have become a fan of this entire line of products.

I love this bed protector! I bought a higher priced mattress than I ever have and was nervous between the animals they would destroy it. I wanted something to protect the bottom as well due to having ferrets that scratched the bottom of our old mattress up. This was a perfect solution. It's fairly easy to put on compared to most mattress covers and it covers both top and bottom. When it needs washed I just unzip the top half and leave the bottom in place. I am able to take it off and on with some effort by myself! It is definitely waterproof, as I have spilled water on this without a drop leaking through

Unfortunately, the matress protector is VERY loud. This removes some enjoyment, as it was waking my partner up. We thought it was our fitted sheet at first (cotton percale 100%), so we purchased another one (cotton sateen 100%). Same problem. Made sure to follow washing and drying instructions. However: Have a pillow top memory foam mattress. Keeps the bed a lot cooler.

Fit our mattress perfectly. Would buy again.
