I think it is a great brush cleaner. I use it for oils, acrylics and watercolor. Even if I forget to clean a brush for a day or two, it gets the paint out with a little extra effort. Probably because it works as a preservative, too. The 2.5 oz is my preferred size, but it can be bought in a smaller or larger sizes. Odorless.

Awesome brush cleaner! This gets the oil or acrylic off the brush so easily. Just wet the brush or the cleaner and rub the brushes into the cleaner, use your fingers to gently rub the brush and rinse and voila!!, a nice clean brush. I do use mineral spirits to get the bulk of the paint off the brush first , but this removes all the rest of paint. I just taught my 15 year old granddaughter how to use oil paints…..told her a little goes a LONG way…..her brushes were loaded all the way from top to bottom of the bristles. I could have finished 3 paintings with the amount of paint that was on them! 😂After a quick rinse in the mineral spirits I cleaned the brushes with the General, and they came out perfect! I would highly recommend this product. I use the water that is leftover from cleaning the brushes to wash my hands and it takes everything off, even with dirty water!

Exceptional brush cleaner! I've painted for years and have always used <other brands>. I've wasted so much time and brush usage by doing so. This cleaner is the best! I paint with acrylics. Simply rinse off brushes of excessive paint, swirl bristles in cleaner, gently massage cleaner into brushes, and rinse. You can also do the extra step of reapplying cleaner to condition brushes. I am absolutely pleased.

I’m on my third canister of this brush soap—because it’s great! Fabulous lemony scent and keeps my brushes well conditioned.

Excellent for artists. A must in your art material box. Cleans old dirt, leaves the bristles soft and in shape. Ideal for artists of oil, acrylic and watercolor. Don't try with commercial paints sticked on old brushes. This is an everyday cleaning product. Soft for your art brushes. Cleans art paints from your brushes once you finish to use the brush. Your brushes will last in good shape, resistant and very cleaned. A good practice: change the water often while you paint. If you leave the brushes too much time in the dirty, cleaning brushes water, that will damage your pricey brushes. You can make a wash and place them out the water can. After finishing, clean all the brushes with this soap

I've started using washing my brushes before storage with this brush cleaner and it's definitely given my brushes a more supple and soft feel while keeping the tips nice and crisp. Definitely worth it to keep your brushes top tier.

Love this stuff, it cleans brushes quickly, and you dont need a lot of it so the size is fine for most hobbyist unless maybe teaching a whole class. Just make sure you actually try to take care of your brushes after use, but this is amazing.

Hands down absolutely phenomenal! You hardly need any product to deep clean the brush and my brushes feel as good as new after use. I personally found using this product works best & gives a deeper clean using a silicone ribbed mat/cup or something similar. It also works great cleaning the brushes with warm water as you can reshape the brush after and it makes it easier to get hard, dried in paint out of the middle bristles. If you have kids - you’ll know this stress all too well & this product will save your brushes and money! 10/10 worth every penny, loads of product as you don’t need much at all and will absolutely be buying more. Can’t recommend enough.

I love this brush cleaner. Works well, use it all the time Lasts for ages. Use it with my Jo Sonja acrylic paint and also my watercolor brushes.
