A good alternative to wired bike computer
I’ve long used wired, battery-operated bike computers and when the battery of the last one died, I decided to look at wireless options before replacing the battery. I wasn't looking for a GPS device, but I realized non-GPS devices often required two batteries and also had the issue of having to align the magnet and sensor on the wheel/frame. Then I came upon this device at a reasonable price. It seems very accurate and I liked That I didn't have to worry about sensors, tire sizes, etc. And never having used GPS before, I like how the app can map my ride, and provide details like elevation gain. I also like that it's rechargeable - no more batteries! But keep in mind: this is very basic. It's good for keeping track of speed, trip length, maximum speed, but lacks details I had in even cheap wired devices, such as cadence. Also, it doesn't include a real mount - basically relying on rubber bands to connect it to the handlebar. I bought a Garmin mount (there was a discount for buying both together) and have been happy with that. It makes it easier to put on/off for recharging.

SIMPLISTIC AND PERFECT FOR MY NEEDS
I recently started riding. I average about 30 miles per day and many of those miles are completed pre-dawn. I already owned a Garmin Watch that tracked all my rides and basic stats. However, it was tedious to look at my watch in the dark and try to see how many miles I had ridden or how fast I was going. I had been using my cell phone mounted to the handle bars and a third party app to see that information. However, as the weather grew colder and wetter, I really hated the idea of having my phone exposed to the elements for hours at a time. This XOSS Bike Computer has been fantastic. It mounted very easily and meets my basic needs. It has an automatic backlight that allows me to see the stats as I am riding during the pre-dawn hours. When compared to my Garmin Watch, the mileage and average speed are very comparable. It was only about $25, much cheaper than my cell phone. It is wireless and did not require any extra sensors for my needs. I would highly recommend this item to anyone who is looking for a visual display to replace their phone but would stop short of saying I would use this instead of my Garmin watch. Five Stars because it meets my needs perfectly.

Really worth the money.
While I am impressed with what this tiny little device can do, I wish it showed the current time. When it says time, it means elapsed time. IMO, it should show both, even if on different screen displays. I cannot tell how well it determines differentials in altitude, as my area is exceptionally flat. I can say that mine should be reading 3 to five feet above sea level, but it has always reported negative 65 feet (below sea level). There seems to be no programmable way to calibrate or adjust that incorrect reading. The nice thing is it is pretty simple to remember the secret codes for most functions with only using two buttons. I dislike having to memorize such pathways to menus and functions (because there are so many devices in common life today), but this one is not bad. And the buttons are pretty responsive as far as electronic switches go (the old mechanical switches are far more reliable and longer life, but every electronic device uses this type, which typically fail after 3 - 5 years - even if unused). This unit finds GPS satellites very quickly. I have not found a problem with cloudy days or roadways lined with dense mature tree cover. New, out-of-the-box, it meets intended purposes solidly. Seems like it will survive road vibrations and bumps, and is designed to do so. Of course, only time will tell (and I am not using it on trails or mountain bikes). I like its portability, but I expect the elastic bands for the mount will not age well with high ambient heat and sunny days. I wish it included two replacements. However, new they are very strong and the mount is secure when new. My e-bike frame is a larger dia tube than typical bikes and this still fits!!

Had it for a 1.5 years, it just works
The GPS on these units was lost at the beginning of Jan 2022. Download the Xoss app and update the firmware and restart your device. I never updated the firmware until I lost GPS connectivity. Set your time zone in the P2 menu. West coast PST -8, East Coast EST -5 on the time zone settings. I do not use the Xoss app. I just use it for speed and distance. It's very accurate. If you want advanced tracking, buy something that costs $200. This unit is backlit and automatically lights up at night. It's very basic, reliable and the charge does last at least 20 hours and recharges via USB. For it to work, set the correct time zone (one time setup), press the power button (on right) then press the button on the left after the unit is powered up and showing zeroes. Then press the left button and listen for the beep. Make sure you are outside in open air so the device can find the satellites. This does not work indoors and you cannot find GPS satellites indoors. It takes 20 seconds to around 1 minute for the GPS satellites to lock in to the device. Once the GPS is ready, it will beep once. This is a very basic GPS speed/distance traveled device.

Terrible design
I have bought 3 GPS bike computer over the past 2-1/2 years. The first one was the MEILAN M3 Mini GPS Bike Computer which I bought in December 2022. I had this computer for a little over a year until my bicycle, along with the bike computer, was stolen from the grocery store. After buying a new bike, I thought about buying this computer again, but I felt that there was enough lacking on this computer and decided to replace it with the XOSS G GPS Bike Computer which I bought in March 2024. I hated this computer, and after 3 months, I decided that enough was enough and replaced it with the CooSpo Bike Computer Wireless GPS BC26, Bluetooth Cycle Computer which I bought in June 2024. I have had this computer for a year, and I feel that I can provide an honest review of all 3. For context, I have this computer on my beater bike - this is the bike that I ride to the gym and for those short errands within 5 miles of my house in which it does not matter how I'm dressed or if I'm a little sweaty. I am not in training or anything like that, and I don’t really need a computer, but I like seeing how fast I’m going (or how slow when I hit an especially fierce head wind). I also like seeing how far I’ve ridden, and since I tend to ride the same route over and over again and know the individual trip distances, I will calculate the week’s distance, and should I ride more than 40 miles for the week, I allow myself an extra dessert on the weekend. Lastly, I like to see the clock time, especially if I’m trying to get to an appointment by a certain time. All 3 computers cost roughly the same amount and arrived within the expected time frame in new condition. All 3 computers were very easy to set up. My previous computer was a wireless “standard” computer that used wheel size to calculate speed and distance, and it was quite refreshing to not have to enter this measurement. I just had to enter the time zone (the Meilan computer had a chart that made this especially easy), and since I’m American, I had to change the units from km to miles. The Meilen computer is a little smaller than the other 2, and all 3 are larger than a standard computer. All 3 attach to the bicycle with rubber bands. I was a little leery about this as elastic can degrade over time, however I had the Meilan for about a year and the Coospo for about as long, and these still work great. In fact, I think I like the rubber bands better than zip ties. The rubber has very little elastic (they’re more like a car tire rubber rather than an elastic band), and it keeps the computer in place with no slipping forward or back. Also, the old zip ties damaged the paint on the handlebars which these do not. I’m definitely a fan. With my old bike, I secured the computer to the right handle bar. With my new bike, the computer is on the handle bar post. All 3 computers are rechargeable, and all 3 needed to be recharged about every other week. All 3 computers have survived being rained on, and all 3 give fairly accurate speed and distance measurements. All 3 take time to find the satellite signal when first turned on with the Coospo being the fastest and the XOSS being the slowest. I don’t think any gave an accurate altitude reading with the Meilan being the worst (it showed my altitude at -60 to -80, and since I do not live under ground, I have no idea what this meant). Since where I live is flat, I never look at this parameter anyway. The Meilan turns on by hitting the power button once with both the unit and the GPS being turned on with this single push of the button. With the XOSS and Coospo, pressing the power button once turns on the unit. After the unit is on, you have to press the power button a second time to turn on the GPS. I would oftentimes forget to press the button the second time and would not realize the ride is not being tracked until some ways in. The XOSS computer was a waste of money. When my Meilan computer was stolen along with my bicycle, because of things that I found lacking in the Meilan computer, I decided to try a different brand and replaced it with the XOSS. This computer has a 3 line display. The top line with the speed is larger than the other 2, but all are easy to read. The 3 lines have 3 toggle displays, but (the thing I did not know before buying this computer), they do not toggle independently. There are 3 screen choices: (1) speed/distance/trip distance, (2) average speed/altitude/grade, and (3) max speed/clock/odometer. When I bought this computer, I thought I could look at the 3 parameters I like to see (speed, distance, and clock) all on one screen, but I cannot. I really hate toggling to check the clock time. My second issue is that you cannot turn off the computer without resetting it. I use this bike to ride to the gym, and I will then work out for an hour before riding home. If I want to see my trip distance for the entire round trip ride, I would need to keep the computer on which would eat up the battery life. I like to see my distance over the course of a week, and since the battery will not allow me to keep it on overnight, I would have to keep track of the distance I ride each day and add it up at the end of the week. Who has time for that? Lastly, this computer does not shut off automatically. Every other computer I have had in the past shuts itself off, and I would often forget to turn this one off after returning home. I’ve already mentioned that the computer battery will not last overnight, and I cannot tell you how many times I went to get on my bicycle only to discover the computer’s battery is dead. After 3 months of this, I had enough and replaced it.

Best “true wireless” Cycling Computer for the Price. It’s Simple and Works
This computer does everything that I can ask for, while being completely wireless. It provides speed which is pretty accurate, I know because it was the same as one of those digital speed limit radars. Additionally, the app that is provided with the XOSS shows the route over a google map layer, has average speed, elevation gain and lots of other features. The only features I really need with a simple bike computer is speed, time and mileage which this has all of it. Additionally, it can mount onto Garmin bike mounts in which I use the stem front mount. I have even biked in the rain with it and it has held up. The only downside is that when you want to look at your activity log in the app, the computer needs to be on and connected in order to have U.S. metrics. If it’s off, it’ll only show in kilometers. Also, I have found that there is a bit of a lag if you are moving while starting the gps or when changing modes mid-ride. For example, going from the time/mile screen to gradient.

Nice little wireless bike computer
This review is for the XOSS G GPS Bike Computer. January 2022 update (3/5): After 5 months and over 600 miles, the GPS is failing to lock on, whether by giving up or by falsely claiming to lock with the speed always remaining 0. While the unit is cheap, I was hoping that it would last at least a year. I did like it while it still worked. Original review (5/5): I wanted something on my mountain bike that was between the cheap wired $10 bike computers and the $150 Garmins. For about the $25 that I paid, I'm happy with the performance of the bike computer. I mainly use it as a speedometer and it seems to be fairly precise, though I've never measured its accuracy against something known to be accurate. The auto pause when stopped and auto backlight features are handy for me. The battery has lasted at least 12 hours for me in mixed day and night riding. The GPS signal is usually acquired within 20 seconds of starting a ride. There's one thing to know about the mount: removing the computer from the mount the first time after mounting made me feel like I was about to break it off, but with enough force it detached, and after that the removal is very easy.

Perfect Unit for Me
I tested it for the first time today and LOVED it. To address some of the negative reviews, I could read the display perfectly in the bright Florida sunshine. It is easy to remove from the base for charging. I had no problem connecting the GPS. The auto feature worked great when stopping and starting. There were no instructions for attaching to the bike but I found an online video. Basically the bands attached to the top hooks and then to the opposite bottom hook. The app was easy to install and use for the settings. When you hit the connect button, it takes you to another screen and you need to select the device again. It connected immediately and saved the settings to the device. Easy to set up and use but read the instructions. This is a much better device than the ones that use magnets and hook to the spokes. So glad I upgraded to this.

Nice fit
Perfect size for bar stem and works very well. Battery life is surprisingly long. Have gone over 250km already and still in the first charge! The XOSS app is very good and provides all the information that I desire. No need or desire for me to push my data to Strava. Not interested in other peoples routes or comparing my performance to others. Definitely this device is priced right and does a solid job! Recommend to all riders that want a little more than an old school Speedo.

Amazing Budget Computer for the price…
The product is awesome, looks quite premium. Installed the app and got a firmware update. Installed the update and began using it. Went on a small ride, the data captured seems to be quite accurate. GPS, Syncing data on the XOSS app for checking the ride details and activity sharing on Strava app etc makes this computer one of the best budget deals. Battery they claim lasts for 25 hours, only that claim I have to verify, apart from that every other aspect works as advertised.

Best budget GPS device
I bought XOSS G from Amazon (Camera centre) which was delivered to me on 27th January 2022 on day before. This is the best budget cycle computer with GPS. Earlier I was using my mobile for cycling but I tried XOSS today and it worked great. The device was easy to install on my bike and the information of distance traveled and speed were fairly accurate. I also updated the firmware using XOSS app without any problem. One can sync XOSS device with the app using Bluetooth. The app also gives lots of information along with 3d view of your ride. Battery life will known after a month probably.
