$30 for a functional A/B pedal is great. This one does almost everything right and is a great value. It even does A/B switching in a mini-sized enclosure, which is impressive. My unit doesn't have any noticeable popping, and so far as I can tell doesn't degrade the signal. I was also happy to see that despite the description saying that A+B mode only works with Y as the input, mine did it just fine with Y as the output. In my case there was no change in volume when joining the signals, either (which can be a problem sometimes with stuff like this), which is awesome. So what could be better? I was a little surprised to see that the A+B mode basically disengaged the pedal button completely. Normally what you see in a 2-button footswitch is an A/B button and an A or B button. One of them normally switches between A and B. the other (A or B) will add or subtract the remaining channel. I had expected that Sonicake's unit would do something similar with the mode switch changed. Instead, it just ignores the pedal switch and everything is on all the time. I get why they did that, since with only one button available you couldn't get the full functionality easily. But I would have liked it better if I could get some form of A / A+B accessible via the footswitch in the second mode. The small size is both a strength and a minor drawback - with an enclosure this small there's no room for a battery. This isn't a huge deal since the pedal works without the battery (it only powers the LED), and many pedals of this kind don't have an LED anyway. Still, if I could choose between this and a version of the same thing in a bigger enclosure to hold a battery, I might have chosen the larger one. That's more feedback than criticism, but it's something to consider. I usually prefer batteries in pedals which only need them for the LED in order to avoid ground loop issues and save space on my board. Speaking of which, when I first plugged this pedal in, there was a significant ground hum introduced into my signal chain. I was a little puzzled by this since the power shouldn't even be connected to the sound. This probably means I was producing a ground loop that was showing up elsewhere. I ended up swapping out what was connecting to what (and what was daisy-chained) for other reasons before troubleshooting this and the issue happened to go away, so I didn't pay a lot of attention to it. It probably wasn't this pedal's fault anyway, but it is something to watch out for (again, this is why I might have preferred a battery for this). 5 stars for price and accomplishing what it set out to do. It might be a little unfair but if I could I'd take half a star for not handling the A+B issue differently. I guess their answer to the design issue at hand was valid but I think that part could be improved upon. But if you look at that as just a bonus feature anyway and look at this as an A/B pedal, this is a great unit and an outstanding value.

The Sonicake ABY Pedal is very well constructed and durable, metal (zinc alloy) cased, all the connectors are tight, the LED works perfectly, the switches are ultra quiet with no pops or hum, even after I have repeatedly dropped it. At first, just two guitars into one amp, You can switch between the A and B inputs (using the foot-switch). Jamming with a friend, both guitars into one amp (A & B in, Y out). In a past life I used a “Y” adapter (not a pedal) for a second guitar, buy an ABY pedal., so much cleaner. Mine have zero pedal noise, hum or click. The right combination of pedals opens the door to limitless possibilities. I am setup to use two guitars and two amps at the same time. one is a tube amp, the other a modeling amp, easy to switch between the two or use both together. Need more switching? Add more Sonicake ABY's. I have used this pedal with both my electrics and acoustic electrics Input into “Y”, you can feed both an amp and a computer. True bypass, switching "A" or "B" to "Y", "A" and "B" to "Y", "Y" to "A"and "B",. The Foot switch is your “A/B” toggle (except in the “Y” input mode) The LED is tri-colored, red, (left) green, (right) yellow (“Y” input). There's no power supply needed, a power supply is solely for the LED. Flawless without power, with a dedicated power supply or in a power daisy chain. You can pay more for an ABY pedal, but I believe you can not find a better pedal for the money. Great price for a very solid pedal, well made, well designed flexible pedal, highly recommended.

I have multiple modeling amps from the same manufacturer that I like to compare to each other. This is hard, however, if you do not have an a/b switch. I got tired of playing something, unplugging my guitar, plugging into the other amp, and then playing again. It made comparisons between the two amps almost useless. I wanted an a / b switch, but I didn't want to sink a lot of cash into something that just splits my signal. I've bought lots of Sonicake products before, and I really like them. They are inexpensive but work well and are sturdy. This little unit is no exception. It is more solid than I expected, and the switch makes no noise whatsoever. What else is there to say? It does exactly what it is supposed to do and it feels like it will hold up for a long time. If you want to switch between two different amps or you want to send your signal into two amps at the same time, this is a well priced unit.

This is a nice tool that you can buy on a budget and throw in your gig bag. You'll find Having an ABY pedal on hand will be useful all the time. Whether you need to switch between two amps ay home or an amp and a di box live you won't regret having this with you. Another thing that I've found to be useful is the ability to have multiple guitars plugged in at the same time and it keeps the one you're not using mute. This makes switching guitars during a set seamless and easy and you won't have that loud buzzing pop sound because you forgot to mute your amp. The switch is high quality and the pedal with a multicolored LED so you can see what line you're using at a glance. My only complaint is the Velcro that comes with it could be better. I would recommend using your own Velcro. To sum this up its a high-quality switcher that you can buy on a budget and it is so small it will fit right in your gig bag.

Very solid for the price, does what you want (probably, depends what you want!) I'd hate to have to stick more than one of these tiny things on a pedal board though.

Nothing fancy, but inexpensive, and functional.

Always wanted one of these pedals but never invested in one but now I'm glad that I did. It's very compact and built very solid. I play lead guitar and pedal steel guitar and this little pedal will make switching between instruments much easier. Also no noise when switching instruments. It can also switch between 2 different amps if needed. It's a very handy pedal to have in your guitar case for when you need it. I'm very pleased with the Sonicake products...great pedals.

Does exactly what it's supposed to and is dirt cheap. No point paying for a brand name when this exists.

Ho scelto questo ABY di piccole dimensioni, per farlo stare in una pedaliera ormai satura di spazio. Lo uso per usare due chitarre in unico ampli ma è possibile anche utilizzarlo al contrario, cioè una chitarra su più ampli o perché no, magari usarlo per attivare un circuito di effetti. Zero rumori e ronzii, molto solido e ben costruito, mi ha davvero convinto la Sonicake, che poco fa ho ordinato anche l'octaver....dove lo metterò non lo so. Nella mia pedaliera con marchi ben più blasonati, sa starci e alla grande!!!

Perfecto, compacto, buen precio, robusto y no un ruido. Calidad precio excelente. Viene hasta con el velcro adhesivo. Tiene lo q necesito era para salir por dos amplificadores de bajo al mismo tiempo desde un único previo. Cumple su cometido perfectamente y aún precio genial. Además viene bien presentando y protegido. En casa con dos previos para grabar directo a la tarjeta va genial. La corriente solo sirve para la iluminación y como digo enchufado ruido cero, no se experimenta bajada de tono ni nada, probado con guitarra y bajo.

Pédale de très bonne facture, très robuste avec un footswitch solide, elle dégage un air de qualité. Il n'y a pas de bruit quand on actionne le switch et pas de buzz ou bruit parasite en générale. Il est intéressant de noter que la pédale peut fonctionner sans alimentation, dans ce cas il y a juste le led qui ne fonctionne pas. Aussi si on ne branche rien dans une des prises A/B il n'y a pas de bruit et donc la pédale peut servir pour muter une guitare tout simplement. Donc pas mal de fonctionnalité possible dans un gabarit minimale pour un tarif très intéressant.

Excelente pedal. Es muy silencioso, no genera ningún ruido al accionar el switch y no representa ninguna pérdida de tono. Una de sus grandes ventajas es que es muy robusto en su construcción (no se siente frágil) y es muy compacto.
