Great product and used it for our first race.

The reviews for this suggested that it would be very chancy to expect it to work for long, and perhaps even out of the box. Perhaps that made for additional caution, and it has worked well for entire summer of pool masters team swimming -- taken out and in each day. Process depending only a remote with no controls on the device is crazy, and remote instructions and actual face are not logical, useful. Use as just a countdown or count up timer is great. No battery requires long extension cord with risk of pulling down the entire device, plus chock especially on pool deck. Still, works well within its limitations.

Can you use this out door without the adapter

Seems to work pretty well. But, I gave it 3 stars because the remote sent is all in Chinese instead of English, as the product photo showed. Good product - but with a remote in a foreign language, I can't just give it to someone and ask them to run it for me.

The features are great but the remote doesn’t work at even a marginal distance.

It's, ok. Could have been better if rechargeable. Tethered to the works, but a hassle if you are on an open cross country trail. It needs function buttons on the unit itself. The remote doesn't work if the clock is hit by direct sunlight.

No way possible to connect tripod bracket to clock. So tripod shipped with clock is pointless.

The remote control arrived cracked. Tried to download the app to use my phone inside. Instructions don't match the app, so I cannot connect to the bluetooth feature. Tried my Android phone and my iPad. Both apps did not work. The power input is located on the side of the clock and awkwardly sticks out. And the cord is a little too short. I am not satisfied with this purchase.
