Good intro book but more words than illustrations
This is helping my son get into swift. He is 11 yo. Lots of words. If your child likes visuals I felt like this book has had less than other coding books we have bought.

Great book but needs videos to follow up
I found this book very helpful for learning swift but some things really should have been followed up with a site to go view video tutorials. I've purchased other books that came with a link for YouTube or a website where you can see real time examples. In this day and age people can read but also need to see physical examples and some things in the book did not translate very well as far as the steps. It was a really great read and a great way to learn Swift. I don't want to knock the book, its a great read but I felt the author should have taken it up a notch, he's a kid but someone in his management should have recommended follow up material. Otherwise, you'll learn the principles of why certain things are the way they are in swift but if you get lost, there's no videos to go to to watch, you'll just have to re-read and go online for examples.
