Solid brass, the knurled end screws off for easy filling. Holds approximately 80 grains FFFFG (4F) Black Powder. Dispenses a small amount of priming powder. Each dispensed charge fills the pan of a T/C rifle one-half full.

I'm a big fan of Thompson Center but I have to say I'm quite disappointed in this item. The top plug where leather or string attaches to the loop was not soldered or in anyway secured to the body. If you were to fill it with priming powder and then let it dangle, the body of the charger would come off and fall to the ground. So, one of two things would happen: one, it would fall and lose all of the contents on the ground; or, two, it would fall without notice and be lost. Since it is filled at the charger end, I simply super glued the cap in place. When I have time, I'll drill and hole thru and thru and place a brass pin to make sure it stay secure. I don't know if this is a problem with all of them or just this one, but it should be addressed. I'd have returned it, but already threw away the package. Guess I'll make do............
