I bought the “resale” to save a few dollars and check the quality. I’m very happy. There were a couple of tiny dings to the shade that I didn’t notice until someone else did. She also guessed I paid twice as much. The lamp is in excellent shape, works well, and came with a bulb. I’m going to buy another to have a pair. The night light feature in the base is great. It’s so pretty that I want to leave the whole thing on all the time. PS A good weight, as you’d expect with stone.

These lamps are SO beautiful!! I've always loved alabaster because light can pass through it -- and that's exactly why it's perfect that they put a nightlight in the bases. I'm not sure how you'd ever replace the nightlight bulb if you needed to, but it's gorgeous when you turn them on. Some people here have complained that the veining in the alabaster isn't pretty to them, or that the multiple lamps they got have different veining... honey, natural materials aren't for you. The beauty of natural stone is that no two items are ever identical. If you don't like that, don't get a natural stone lamp. On the other hand, the designer likes to brag about their lovely electrical cords... but seriously, I don't know ANYONE (at least anyone sane) who would buy something because it has a pretty cord. I don't look at the cord -- I look at the base and the shade and the finial. The gold tone does look fake, but guess what -- IT IS. It doesn't bother me one bit, and it fits with my modern/traditional décor perfectly. I use these with Philips Hue bulbs, and they fit and work just fine. I recommend these lamps to anyone.

Nice soft light in the base. The only reason I am not giving it five stars is because you have no ability to change the light bulb in the base.

These lamps are very nice and easy to assemble.

I have some experience with selling lamps so know what to look for and this is a nice, high quality, beautiful lamp. I was looking for a round one but didn't see they made one til a day after I purchased this rectangle one, which is just as beautiful. So, I ended up buying both. The only area for improvements are (are you listening Jonathan Y?) The shades on the round and rectangle lamps are a different color, the rectangle being white, the round being ivory. I'm ok with either color but now I have two lamps with different colored shades. As other reviewers noted, manufacturing could do a better job making sure the prettiest side of the lamp, the side with the most character, was in the front, not the back or sides. My only real complaint is why on earth would you put a silver cord on a gold lamp? It's a nice cord, don't get me wrong, but I'm wondering who thought that was a wise decorator choice to use a silver cord. Overall, I love both of my lamps. They really change the ambiance of my room. Thanks for making a quality product, packaging it well, including easy instructions, all at a great price.

As beautiful as it looks. You have the option to have the main lamp light, or the base night light or both on at the same time. Very nice quality.

Absolutely stunning lamp! We have the large marble only version of this from the same company & decided we’d try this one for our bedroom! It showed up with a crushed area on the delicate lamp shade but not to worry, I contacted the company & they are sending a replacement. Worth the price! Classy, unique & beautiful!
