Monopoly - Nintendo DS

I thought this was Monopoly streets (which I have for the WII and LOVE IT!!!) but it isn't.. I mean it's still fun in some way but the graphics are boring and there's just some stuff that I don;t like about it, you can only customize the house rules to certain rules, which I don't like, for the WII version we had it set that when someone goes bankrupt the properties go up for auction which is a fun way to play for us.. In this game, the person who makes anpother player go bankrupt gets his/her properties, negative for me! But you keep playing until one person is left, which we like!The major downfall to this game is that there is no download and play, if you want to play with humans you either pass the same DS unit around, which kinda sucks because I am a person who needs to see what is going AT ALL times LOL! Or on a seperate DS unit but they must have the game cartdridge, which I am most likely gonna order another one so me and my hubby can play it without the hassle of passing back and forth a ds! The trading with another player really confused me, but once I got the hang of it, I understand it much better now..It's really lacking in my opionion with NO Download and play... But over all, it does have a replay value, and it is a fun game, but it's not worth the 20 bucks I spent on it, Had it been Monopoly Streets, it probably would of gotten a better review, but I will def play the game when I am bored.

I have only played this game once, but so far I really like it! The graphics are good and it is as much fun as the board game. You can even customize some of the rules like how much you get when you pass Go. The only drawback I think is that it does take a while to play one game. But the nice part of that is that you can save your game anytime you want. This game is easy to play for both children and adults. If you need something for a kid to do on something like a long plane ride this game would definately help pass the time and keep them occupied for a while! Definately worth the money and the buy!!!

When you've played the board game for (a-hem) many years, our expectation of having an electronic game that could compare to all the wheeling & dealing that occurs was pretty low. But we quickly realized that the DS version matches what one would anticipate another player to do during a one-(human)player game. Home rules get to be set by the host, which include: allowing to trade, GO money (when passing and when landing ON), starting money, limiting houses, free parking money, etc. It (of course the most important) also allows you to choose your game piece. Both of my kids have DS's, so when my son got this game 1st, we noticed you can play against each other sharing the same DS, but more importantly - if you buy another game (which we of course did for our daughter), they can play against each other using their own DS's in completely separate areas of the house. Now they have US playing it! There are 3 levels of difficulty, although we haven't observed much difference in levels. Overall-very impressed.

I have to admit that I was expecting this to be more of a 'street view' than the overhead view of the board. I do like the game, especially being able to save it and finish it at another time. The ability to change some play options such as having money available at free parking, double earned income for landing on go, etc. is another feature I like. Being able to choose the 'easy' AI's for children and 'hard' for adults is also good. Don't expect too much more though, as this version is much the same as some of the older bare-bones computer versions. Overall this is a good game for traveling!

I thought that the game was going to be like it is in the pictures, more of like a 3d type game. Where you go down the street and see all the houses and things. It is actually just the board as if you were playing it at home. It's nice to be able to change the settings on how you want to play and if you hold the stylus on the screen while the pieces are moving they will go faster so the game doesn't last as long. It is a good game overall I was just expecting it to be a little different than the usual.

携帯版のモノポリーは国内のでは2005年にアドバンスで発売されてから無い。DSのは国内では発売されていないので、ファンなら買いたいところだが、全て英語となっている。高校レベルの英語の知識さえあれば読解は可能であるが、やはりモノポリーのルールを知らない人間がプレーしてもストレスが溜まるだけだろう。　拙者はモノポリーの愛好家でも何でもないが、やり込みたい人間にとってはCPUが若干弱いようである。そもそも、CPUの難易度が三段階しかないため、ここら辺はサービスが悪い。いただきストリートみたいに、CPUを個性キャラにして性格によってプレースタイルが異なるみたいにすれば、もう少し乗り込めたかもしれないが。ただ、海外のアマゾンではわりかし高評価であるため、ある程度本格的なモノポリーを楽しめられるのではないかと思われる。　このソフトで初モノポリーを考える人間に忠告であるが、大学レベルの英語能力がない限り、購入を控えたほうが良いだろう。このボードゲームは人生ゲームなどと違い、取引という駆け引きが重要なエッセンスとなっている。なので、面白さに気づくにはある程度指南してくれる人間がいない限り、ただの退屈なゲームになってしまうことは留意して欲しい。
