Really like this movie and watch it often

This movie is very genuine and it tells a very remarkable n beautiful story of what it was like between the Native Americans n the Caucasian settlers n how n why they couldn't co exist. It's really a dam shame that people who are different yet the same can't live together in peace and harmony just like today in this country.

Item new, perfect

It's everything I remembered. A dazzling presentation of imaginary circumstances that brought focus to a real life issue. The horse, the wolf, the Indian white woman wife, and the wisdom of the old chiefs afforded true meaning to an underlaying fairness of a life experience.

One of the best movies of all time in my opinion. The order arrived in 3 days, sealed in what appeared to be original wrap. The wrap had "25th anniversary" printed on it. When I removed the outer wrap, the inner case had no such designation...and no liner notes. The disc plays fine and appears to be genuine, but it also has no anniversary markings or any special features that anniversary editions typically contain. Sort of weird.

Received this DVD a few days after ordering it. The movie was touching. Made me laugh and cry, but the scenery knocked my socks off. A tender portrayal of a tortured culture. Kevin Costner can be forever proud of this masterpiece. Graham Greene and Mary McDonald were superb!

Preciosa edición Metalpack !! Ademas limitada a 1000 unidades Pelicula y edicion muy recomendadas . La pelicula es en Blu-ray y los extras vienen en un DVD aparte. Hubiera preferido el titulo en ingles "Dance with Wolves" la verdad , hubiera tenido mucho mas valor coleccionable . Y la j-card se deberia usar un pegamento menos agresivo me ha costado mucho despegarla y luego limpiar todo el pegamento de la caja metalica . Metalpack : Edicion metalica como puede ser un steelbook salvo que cambia el modo de fabricar la visagra y algun plastico del interior . Son muy parecidas aunque hoy en dia predomina mas los steelbook .

Kevin Costner produced and directed this epic western, one of the best to be filmed. He showed bravery when he rode past confederate soldiers who missed when they tried to kill him, this inspired the union soldiers to attack and the confederates were forced to retreat. He asked for a post in the west, and with went westward with a wagon load of supplies and 1 man to drive the wagon. He arrived at the post to find it had been abandoned, only a shirt belonging to a captain was left. The pond was contaminated with a carcass of a deer. There was evidence of mining. He had a lot of work to do in fixing the house. Later the wagon driver was killed by Sioux. He was visited by a Sioux holy man played by Canadian Graham Greene. Costner decided to visit the Sioux and dressed up and came upon an injured woman who he brought to the village.Later we find out via flashbacks that she is a white woman, her family killed by the Sioux but she was adapted by the village. She is played by Mary McDonnell. Costner continues to visit the village and later learns the Sioux language, Costner and McDonnell begin a relationship. The buffalo return and Costner rides with the Sioux to hunt buffalo and rescues a young boy who is almost killed by the buffalo. He also begins a relationship with a wolf. Deep in the story he has a deep relationship with the Sioux village and when the Pawnee attack he helps defend the village. Later the cavalry return and he is captured and they are going to try him as a traitor. He is rescued by his Sioux friends and later marries McDonnell. This is a great story and won an Oscar for best picture, Costner is exceptional in his role and the Sioux are realistically portrayed in this film. Music is by John Barry (007) the Sioux see him interacting with a wolf, who is tragically killed by cavalry and this is where he gets his name "Dances with Wolves" Exceptional highly entertaining film, one of the best westerns ever made.

Brilliant film although sad and the soundtrack is amazing. It is very beautiful and won Oscars, 7 I think.

Este artículo ha sido un fantástico regalo para mi padre que siempre le ha encantado la película y la vemos cada vez que la echan por la tele, ahora ya podrá verla tranquilamente en el reproductor Bluray cuando quiera y encima de edición metálica, prácticamente perfecto. Edición muy cuidada y con mucho detalle, las cubiertas son fantásticas y el imán que viene está muy chulo, aunque no me esperaba que fuese un imán. ¡Todo perfecto! Una compra obligatoria para todos aquellos amantes de esta película.
