ESL English workbook practical for adults
My ESL adult student says the book is useful and easy to follow. As his tutor, I could see the book is well organized and will help students understand the foundations of English language. Assignments or short and applied to everyday life, which allows the student to use the lessons learned. The book is a bargain for the price.

It's a good book. There are some texts that are a bit more accessible with respect to information flow and visual clarity. It seems a bit crowded. However, I do like the way it teaches and explains. I'm planning to take it to India, where I'll be teaching English to Tibetan refugees. I know they will like it.

suitable for advanced ESL students
If you are looking for conversations for different situations, this book can be helpful, but it is not for a beginner level. I could not use it for beginner ESL.

Fantastic book for helping tutor ESL students! The layout of the book is very nice. I bought the book for the conversation samples which are wonderfully thought out. The look and feel of the book are very nice.

Not for the beginner
This book might be all right for someone who already has some proficiency in English. It is certainly not for the beginner. The explanations require a competent English speaker who also understands the learner's native language to read and translate. Also, while it's nice to teach new English speakers informal English, any slang needs to be reasonably current. One of the greetings given is "Howdy". "Howdy"? seriously? I don't want my ESL student sounding like Minnie Pearl ca. 1936.

Even the little detail like a colorful cover adds a nice impression
Hi! Before, I stadied English as a second language at school for adults, and I often took this textbook in the library. Now I self-study English and I decided to buy and I want to have it at home because the material of the book presented simply, clearly and consistently, really step by step. The texbook has a lot of exercises and they are relevant to real life, it is very important for immigrants recently arrived in the country. Even the little detail like a colorful cover adds a nice impression.

Nicht ganz zweckmäßig
Nicht geeignet, wenn man gar kein Englisch kann und sich nicht so gut mit Grammatik auskennt. da hier bereits Einiges an Wissen vorausgesetzt wird. Dafür sind die Aufgaben gut gemacht, um sein grundständiges Englisch aufzufrischen und zu verbessern. Ich habe es als Übungs- und Woederholungsbuch für meine Nachhilfeschüler verwendet.
