8.3 Ounce Shampoo for Blonde Hair, Violet Crush Purple Shampoo, Neutralizes Brassy Yellow Tones, Blonde Toner for Bleached, Platinum

Okay I usually purchase high-end. However, the reason I have ordered John Frieda several times is because the vibrancy / pigmentation of the product. What I mean is, for this particular shampoo I can take this and make it last a year because it just takes a very small amount on my hand and I dilute it with a little of my regular shampoo because it is that strong in its saturation. Which to me is a good thing because it lasts forever! I used to use dp Hue, which is excellent but it is very pricey and it doesn't last as long. It leaves my hair condition looking great and my blonde looking vibrant. So if you want to get a great price and have something that works well for blonde hair and really takes away the brassiness, AND you would like to get your money's worth while also making it last a long time - THIS IS THE ONE.

I've tried several other brands of purple shampoos since I first started dying and toning my hair platinum blonde a couple of years ago. Some have off-putting strong scents, some don't lather up that great, and some just don't do a great job counteracting the yellow tones to help toner last longer. That has never been the case with John Frieda's Violet Crush shampoo, and why it's the only purple shampoo brand I now buy. I've always had good luck with all of John Frieda's products and previously used the Sheer Blonde shampoo and conditioner when I used to color my hair with single process box color. The Violet Crush color is super concentrated so you're sure to get some good toning action from it. It lathers up nicely, has a pleasing, light scent that fades after you dry your hair, and it leaves my hair shiny and silverly. I not only use it for color maintenance after coloring, but I find it takes away a bit of the yellow when I use it after rinsing out the bleach from my hair's roots. I have never received any bottles that were damaged or leaking. Usually, they arrive in a plastic bag for added protection during shipping. It's true that purple shampoos can be a little drying, but I haven't found that to be the case with this particular product...however, I now only wash my hair twice a week since I began bleaching it. I use it with a good conditioner that helps repair the hair from damage and makes it soft.

Wow, call me surprised, but it worked after the first quick shampoo! Thank gosh because I had orange highlights! It toned down the orange ever so subtly so I will use it again tomorrow and I think that's all I'll need. Notes: I didn't leave it any for any length of time - just the quick lather and rinse. I'm SO relieved! Update: Worked on first shampoo but almost no change over the next 4 shampoos. I even left it on for 2 minutes on the final shampoo. I am grateful that it reduced the orange the first time, and will use it again if I end up with future orange highlights, so am leaving my review at 4 stars - but I was expecting more after reading the other reviews. Note: Bottle cap loosened in transit and spilled the contents into the box. There was NO PROTECTIVE PACKAGING, it was just a bottle thrown in a box. It had just started to leak through the cardboard box so I'm glad I got it off my porch in time. Had to knock off a star for this reason.

Had to buy more, this turns my hair white every time. I get nasty brass...remembered I had a little bit Violet Crush left in the tube. Just stocked up on some more for the next year. This is hands down the best toner I've used, my hair is bright white again. and stays white.

John Frieda makes my favorite products for my high-lighted blonde hair. This purple shampoo does a great job keeping the highlights from getting brassy when used once every 6 or so shampoos. The price is a good value as well.

I enjoy this product

I have blonde hair that’s occasionally highlighted and this shampoo gives it the refresh it needs. I like to use it typically once a week. It removes the brassiness and brightens my highlights back up. It’s affordable for how well it works and I pair it with John Frieda conditioner. Highly recommend!

Works good but dries hair out. For the price point it’s okay to get brassy color out. If you keep it on too long it stays purple gray which was not the end of the world it washed out.

Excelente, cumpri o que promete, o cabelo fica com uma cor linda após o uso, ele realça mais a cor, no meu caso que é ruivo, ele fica lindo, cheiroso, maravilhoso eu amo demais os produtos John frieda.
