I read this series as a teenager and remembered really liking them. Just finished re-reading them as an adult and the story is still so good. The characters are well developed and the story line is interesting and I love that it introduces you to so many historical figures in a new and fun way. Perfect for young teens or for anyone looking for an easy, fun read.

Great line of stories I read back in high school, bought so my daughter can read and enjoy this fantasy series as I did.

I loved this series of books by Michael Scott! The story lines kept me interested, intrigued & anticipating the next book. They were also excellent choices for my teen and preteen grandsons. This was actually the 3rd set I had purchased with the first set being the hardcovers I purchased for my adult son. We read these as they came out originally & I added to the set as each new book was released. I love the fact that Nicholas Flamel was a real person as well as places and locations referenced. Good historical facts intertwined with the fiction.

The books are well made. The stories are great for kids into magic and mysticism. I liked that the characters are real historical figures and the stories, while being fiction, offer the opportunity to explore history and geography with your child. I have elementary-aged who can read this but like me to read to them. For adults, the use of full names over and over for regular characters is a superfluous. Even my kid told me to just shorten them as I was reading. That's the reason I didn't give 5 stars.

My teenage grandson told me about these books and he was right. They tell a great story with characters that are familiar if you read much. Would highly recommend!!

Best book ever written. It's a bit different from what I usually read. I can honestly say I enjoyed reading this book.

A gift for my 10 year old grandson he's plowing through the books. Loves them. They arrived sooner than expected which was good. A collection of 6 books to keep him reading for a while. I didn't see the books as he lives in another state, I haven't heard that he has had any problems with the level of reading for his age group.

Great set have enjoyed ever min it similar to Harry Potter/twilight but main character is Nickolas flamel good read for both 9 to adults easy read
