You don't need this until you need it...
This stops bleeding that's hard to stop with pressure alone. I've used it a number of times for "minor" cuts on my hand that wouldn't stop bleeding. It should be in every first aid kit along with nonstick or gauze pads and med tape.

Peace of mind
I wanted to title this "Warm Fuzzy Feeling" but didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea about the product. Anyone who reads my reviews gets it. Here goes. I carry a s.... uh, ton of emergency equipment in a Stat Pack (which I also got from Amazon!) and have over a hundred items in it. I personally love hemostatic agents and am partial to the Celox brand. (I was an EMT for 5 years.) When I found this, I was ecstatic! I use a LOT of small bandages in day-to-day life as I live in an area that is... rough. I run into all kinds of word scenarios all the time. And you'd be surprised home many times someone tries to get on the bus but they're bleeding. (Minor, fell down, usually have mobility restrictions or intoxicate... Or was in a fight...) (I'm a non-driver). I'm tasked with patch-up. The drivers know me. (Yes, I know my liability.) Now, this item is thin but it's a hemostatic item. It doesn't need bulk to work. But it is what it needs to be. I love having it. We did have a roommate who was on blood thinners so having this literally helped me sleep better. If he fell..... It would likely have been more of skin tears so this would likely have been a great bet on that scenario. As far as hemostatic items go, I really like the idea of this one. I might buy a second one or see if they make a trainer version to open and really see what's it's like. I'm just more of a hands on person. If I open one up, I'll do pics or a vid and update.

Great for large and small wounds with severe bleeding
Excellent for emergencies where severe bleeding is involved. The 8" X 8" allows me to use on both large and Small wounds just by folding.

Can save a life
I'm a Paramedic. I hope I never use this, but I know it will prevent life-threatening hemorrhage. Don't use it for bleeding that can be controlled by direct pressure, elevation, pressure-point pressure or a pressure-bandage. It's too expensive for that, plus all these clotting products make subsequent wound-care somewhat more complicated. This particular clotting formulation is the easiest one for doctors to deal with, I'm told. Plus, it isn't exothermic (doesn't generate heat when it's working.) Watch a YouTube video on how to use it.
