Utility Cart - 3 Shelves Structural Foam Plastic - Black

Fanatic, sturdy and very functional. Use in my classroom every day.

The cart comes flat-packed and is to be assembled with a rubber mallet. I didn't have a mallet and so took my chances with a regular hammer that I padded with some rags; this seemed to work out fine, with the greatest risk being to my fingers, not to the cart. It took a good amount of force to get everything together, so the resulting assembly is quite solid and not wobbly at all. The top of the assembled cart stands just short of 33 inches off the floor. You could shorten it by cutting something off the plastic legs before assembly. (It looks like it would be hard to disassemble once it's together.) The wheels (two with brakes, two without) are very nice -- large and sturdy. There's a small lip around all the shelf edges -- enough to slow down an object that's trying to slide off, and enough to catch liquid spills. I expect this cart to hold up well over time.

You can assemble the cart in 10 mins. All parts fit as they should. You'll have to use a rubber mallet to pound the supports in place. Once assembled, the cart is very sturdy and will easily carry 50+ lbs. You arent going to destroy these things. There are 4 large swivel-type wheels, 2 of which are locking. The wheel size is perfect for the cart. If you need a sturdy (less than beautiful) cart with 3 useable shelves, the price is right, and this one's for you. This is a good, well-made product.

Nice cart BUT terrible assembly instructions! Good thing I read previous reviews because this booger will not go together without a RUBBER MALLET, a HAIR DRYER & WD-40. The side posts will not even start to fit w/o first heating. We found it best to apply WD-40, then use hair dryer to soften plastic then literally beat the heck out of the posts to fit. We systematically did hammered them in small increments and kept turning cart until all 4 posts were completely set. Instructions showed picture of screws & Allen wrench to attach wheels but there were no screws or wrench in our box so we just hammered the wheels in place which worked okay. I’m pleased with cart but assembly was a challenge and w/o the mallet & hair dryer would have been impossible to assemble.

Thick sturdy plastic that doesn't bend or sag. Easy to assemble (I recommend a rubber mallet). I bought mine to sit by the basement utility sink and hold buckets, but may end up also utilizing it in different areas of the house to help with projects like painting, etc. Recommend measuring the size of the items you plan to place on it. My buckets have less than an inch to spare height-wise, just enough to get them in and out without struggling. It would have been a big disappointment to put it together and find that they didn't fit.

Heavy duty, solid plastic with big wheels. Took just 5 minutes to get out of the box and assemble, with a rubber mallet. Solid as can be, This will be easy to clean, it's pretty light weight, rolls smoothly, has 2 locking wheels, and is just the perfect size. It actually rolls right under my island counter top so it's out of the way and quick & handy when needed. Fantastic cart. I accidentally ordered 2 of them, but when I put them together and saw how useful they would be, I'm really glad for that happy accident.

This cart was a bear to put together. We had to pound in the legs using a hammer and board as they did not go into each shelf.

I love this cart! I purchased it to replace a microwave cart that gave up when I tried to repurpose it as a utility cart. It didn't take long for me to assemble this on my own using a rubber mallet and a bit of silicone spray so the legs could be pounded all the way in. I have piled everything on here and it rolls so easily, I roll it around the house to where ever its needed and then just roll it back in the closet. I have had it about 3 months and I will say that my weight (probably 130 pounds or so) on the top shelf is not evenly distributed and the center has definitely bowed by maybe 1/2 inch. Also, my middle shelf was visibly chipped on the side when it came, but I keep mine in a closet and the chip didn't impact the function or stability so didn't bother me. Likewise, the slight bowing does not impact my usage (yet, anyway) so for me, it's currently 5 stars. If the bowing gets worse over time, it will be an issue but if it holds steady, I foresee having this cart for years.
