So, I picked up these VELCRO Brand Thin Clear Fasteners, the 3/8" circles, a while back. I'm always looking for clever ways to keep things organized, especially since I travel a fair bit. My main hope for these little guys was to find a discreet, easy-to-use solution for securing small, lightweight items around the house and in my travel gear without making a big fuss or leaving a sticky mess. I was really looking for something that would blend in and just do its job without being noticeable.What I Liked (The Good Stuff)Honestly, these fasteners are pretty neat for what they are. The clear design is a huge plus. I've used them on a few clear plastic containers and even on a glass picture frame, and they practically disappear. The biggest thing is their size. At 3/8", they are tiny. This is great for discretion, but it also means they're really only good for very small, very light items. If you try to use them on anything with a bit of weight, they just won't hold. I tried to use them to secure a small power strip, and that was a no-go. So, definitely manage your expectations on what they can hold.Also, while the adhesive is strong, you need to be careful, especially if you're sticking them to delicate surfaces like paper. I've heard from others that they can sometimes tear paper if you try to reposition them, though I haven't had that issue myself since I've mostly used them on harder surfaces. They can also be a bit fiddly to peel off the backing because they're so small.Value for Money and Final ThoughtsWhen it comes to value for money, I'd say it's decent if you know exactly what you're getting them for. For specialized small tasks where you need that clear, low-profile hold, they're worth it. But if you're thinking of them as a general-purpose fastener for anything beyond very light items, you might find yourself needing a lot more dots or a different product entirely. The 56-count pack gives you a good amount for those little projects, but they can add up if you need them in bulk.Overall, these VELCRO Brand Thin Clear Fasteners met my expectations for securing small, lightweight items discreetly. They're not a heavy-duty solution, but for organizing my travel essentials or keeping small things in place around my Florida home, they've been quite useful. These little velcro dots are small, inconspicuous, and hold just enough to be useful. I've been using them for my kids' wooden puzzles so the pieces don't fall all over the place every time they are picked up, and they work perfectly!

They're meant for something like sealing an invitation -- very tiny and thin. I bought a larger size for my needs (helping a lightweight cabinet door to stay closed the last 2-3mm). Very sheer and easy to scrape off, but they probably stick well to paper.

I have a love-hate relationship with these fasteners.First: I LOVE that they are clear and very flat. The low profile allows me to place an entire set of "game cards" in one basket. This makes it easy to use them for games and learning manipulatives I create for my Kindergarten classroom. I also love the price. The price seemed very reasonable, considering how much money I spend a year on other classroom items.However, I also HATE that the two halves don't grip one another as well as they should. That makes them less useful to me. Also, many of the non-fuzzy dots break in half while being removed from the packaging. If I have to throw 1/3 of them away, then suddenly the price is no longer reasonable. From examining the packaging, it appears that some of the dots are actually cut in half (perhaps accidentally by a malfunctioning machine?) This is a problem the company can and should remedy immediately.I'm still hopeful that over the long run, enough of the dots will do their job so that I don't have to waste time & money removing them and replacing them with something else, especially since the low profile is just what I was looking for.

Perfect for the recipe folio I purchased this for. I’ve now added these to several other little projects and they are a cinch to place, hold well, and don’t create a lot of bulk. I love that one side is clear so it doesn’t distract from the design on the cover when opened. Really glad I went with Velcro and will definitely be reordering this and other sizes.

Does the job! Made a mini photo frame for a polaroid out of air dry clay and used these to stick the photo to the frame, worked perfectly. Glued magnets on the back so I could put it on my fridge and the velcro stayed in place nicely

I used these dots as part of a project where cutouts would need to be moved around a felt board. I used only the hooks side and they worked great! They adhere nicely, and so far stay on well. I gave a little rub after application to make sure it stayed adhered. If you don't give a firm rub, you can reposition the dots if needed and there is still a lot of stick. The hooks side feel more like a really rough dotty surface, then hooks are very fine, so I'm also not noticing a lot of pulling of the felt, so the board is staying nice and smooth. The disks are super thin and clear! So great for a project where you don't want to see the dots. I also tried putting the velcro dots together as you would if you needed to stick two non-sticky things together. Very very strong grip! My only beef is you only get 56 and I kind of think that's a bit of a rip off. Regardless, for your invisible velcro needs, I would highly recommend and will purchase again if needed.
