DEWALT Replacement Bulb For 18V Flashlight, 2 Bulbs (DW9083)

Like several of the reviewers here, I had difficulty finding replacement bulbs for my Makita BL185 flashlight. These work perfectly. They are just as bright, or perhaps a bit brighter, than the originals. (It's hard to tell because I've been in the dark for a bit!) They are also MUCH cheaper than their counterparts at Home Depot or Lowe's. I have a prime account; so I paid no shipping, and they arrived in a day and a half. Some reviewers mentioned heat related problems. My flashlight came with xenon bulbs originally and got pretty hot. These are no different. My original bulbs lasted many years, and I expect these will, as well. Just be sure to use common handling practices and don't touch the bulb with your fingers. If your experience is like mine, you'll be happy about this choice.

Please see my review on DeWalt DW 9043 bulb, as most of that applies here. Bulb worked great, but runs very hot. Lens very hot, after 2-3 seconds touch, reflector about the same. Metal hinge/holder too hot to touch. Some plastic smell in first 10 minute inspection. Checked again at 1 hour 5 minutes (total test time) and still the same. No scorched or melted plastic. A winner...UPDATE April27/12: Still working great with normal drops and bangs,lens heat not an issue... UPDATE dec 31, 2012: Wow, this bulb is tough thru drops and bangs from daily use; I wish I could find a girlfriend that was as bright and hot (and lasted as long) as this bulb.

DeWALT bulb DW9083-18v amazingly will fit PORTER CABLE 18V flashlight. Replacement for 90534275--PCL180L is OBSOLETE! I gave up looking. There is no information that DeWalt bulb will replace a Porter Cable. So I bought a new flashlight. I was cleaning a junk drawer and found the DeWalt bulb, tried it, it fit & works perfectly. Now I have two big flashlights, one for each hand I guess?. Thank U DW for your ingenious decision to make these bulbs interchangeable. Who woulda thought!

BULBS FIT

I have been looking for relatively affordable replacement bulbs for a Ryobi 18V rechargeable flashlight. It's literally impossible to find a real Ryobi product, but I read, in another review, that these work in the Ryobi. They do, indeed. I haven't used any of these for any time at all, but i did verify that they work in the Ryobi, and I'm thrilled to have some replacements now. The original bulb burned out almost immediately, and they replaced it 'under warranty', but I was concerned about he fragility of the OEM bulbs. Glad to have found a replacement such that the flashlight will have a use if another bulb fails.

I had my older DeWalt DW919 light that needed a bulb. I had other work lights so I just kept the DeWalt on my workbench as a glorified paperweight. I was looking for other DeWalt products on Amazon and came across these bulbs for my light. The price was much cheaper than what the Big Box stores had to offer. I decided to take a chance and placed my order. The packaging was a simple envelope with 2 bulbs packaged in bubble wrap. I installed the bulb and my light was like new again. Well... except for all the dings from past jobs; As well as me being a bit careless, I must admit. Bottom Line: If you need inexpensive bulbs that work great with the DeWalt lights (DW919) in my case, take a look at these bulbs. They turned my paperweight light into a valuable tool, once again. -Hg

These 2 bulbs came in a little plastic bag packed in a much larger cardboard box with packing peanuts (don't see those much anymore). No DeWALT markings anywhere. I am skeptical that these are in fact DeWALT OEM/replacement bulbs (which I know work great and last a LONG time). But I have been burned in the past by cheap knockoffs that absolutely do NOT last. I guess we'll see which way these go. In any case, you have been warned.

Initially I ordered two sets of bulbs- received 4 bulbs and all 4 burned out immediately as they were not 18v bulbs. UPDATE: I received a set of replacement bulbs from the vendor (Light Bulb Super Store USA) without requesting this. Along with the correct 18v bulbs was a memo explaining the inventory mistake and subsequent correction. Replacement bulbs work great - life is bright again - ha!

It’s really hard to find these anywhere else, so it was great to find them here. Just got a few more years out of my flashlight by replacing the bulb. Works great

I bought this for my hitachi 14 v lamp [part of a drill and lamp package deal]. I would have bought the bulbs locally if I could have found them but gave up looking. These are in the lamp and work perfectly for several months now.
