Helikon-Tex US Model Surplus Line Poncho

This is a high quality reproduction of the coveted m81 pattern Camouflage USGI military issued poncho. It has slightly smaller than the original poncho produced for the Department of War by ORC industries in the USA. It is wind and water proof and has grommets for using this as an emergency survival shelter or a swank trail tarp in a down pour. Measured 83/57 inches the original USGI was 90/ 66. Stitching fit and finish is great, quality is excellent, this is not a flimsy $20.00 eBay poncho that you will regret purchasing. Buy one for your bug out bag, put one under the seat of your truck and if you like her, buy one for your wife's vehicle emergency kit! It packs down small to the size of a Nalgene bottle. Just over 1 lb at 1.7oz and has a 300 nm waterproof rating. Made of ripstop polyester.

This is an excellent poncho. It works well, is tough, and actually stuffs back into its sack without needing to fold it in some wackadoo way. For swagman roll owners, this poncho fits over the swagman roll very well. Helikon-Tex rarely disappoints.

Probably the best quality poncho you'll find at this price. It's not going to rip easily, has metal grommets and a waist tie.

Ok. Who doesn’t like a good poncho, this is lightweight and water repellent just like basic training days it works. Use it as a poncho or a shelter, many ways to use these and there are tons of YouTube videos to give you ideas.

I have not tested it under weather but it seems to be good quality ripstop. Like all ponchos it's basically a sack with a hole for your head so writing a long review is really not a thing. Seems fone!

I primarily use this for my hunting/backpacking rain layer. It serves as a great middle ground between cheap knockoff rain gear and ultra expensive rain jackets by name brands as it is waterproof and durable enough to keep me comfortable in wet conditions but doesn't break the bank. Most of the time it sits in my car emergency kit until I need it for a hunting/backpacking trip. Versatile poncho.

Great product as I have come to expect from Helikon. I have their "Swagman" roll and the combination is very effective as we are coming into Autumn. Very water repellant though I have not had it in heavy rains yet. I like the pattern better than traditional woodland, but that is personal and regional preference. After growing accustomed to Swiss ponchos for some years the thickness of the material at first concerned me but so far has proven no problem. I needed something that packed down smaller and was lighter to carry, this has done that very well. A bit pricier than equivalent competitors but if you have the resources it is a well worth the price to up-grade.

Must have ! Poncho de super qualité il est indestructible, certe un peu lourd mais peux servir a tout ! J'en possède deux sans regret !

First real poncho ( excluding Disney ones) and not used it in anger However size and design are good. Quality seems good. Just need a downpour now.
