I recently purchased the SSD HDD Holder 2.5 to 3.5 Mounting Bracket (2 Pack) in black, and I’m really impressed with the quality and functionality. I needed to install a 2.5 inch SSD in an older computer with 3.5 inch bays. This bracket fit perfectly in the bay, and the mounting holes were correctly placed for the drive and the attachment to the case. It's all metal, and includes the screws needed for installation. Quality of construction is good - no sharp edges.

This is one of the few products like its kind that I have found on Amazon that works and is what it's supposed to be. most all the other adapters I have seen all have the same size screws that fits the 2.5" SSD drive. Even for mounting the adapter in the drive bay. Which does not work very well because the heads will go through the slots in the case drive bay. Not to mention your case crews wouldn't work. Whoever designed and created this adapter has put one in a computer before. :)

Bought this for a client who was looking to upgrade her HP AIO to a SSD drive. It was an older AIO so it still used a 3.5" HDD as oppossed to a 2.5" HDD found in more modern ones. First off, these aren't anything fancy, but their well built and comes with enough screws for mounting the SSD and the bracket. Also, price-wise, these are the best you'll find in a 2-pack. That being said, here was my issue. These only only the SSD to be mounted in the middle of the bracket. Typically fine in most desktop cases. However, in the AIO I worked on, the SATA cable from the mobo was like most laptops...short and location specific to where the HDD cage/bracket is. What I needed was to be able to mount this on the right side of the bracket and not right in the middle. So, I had two options, wait and order a SATA-to-SATA connector or rig up something to make it work. I chose the latter. I drilled additional holes in the bracket to line my SSD to the right side and all was well. Not ideal, but still did just fine. I wish these brackets had multiple mounting options to make it where it can be mounted left, right or center. Overall, the product was fine. The screws could be better...felt they could easily be stripped. Build quality was fine, nothing special or above the rest. If you need something inexpensive to put a 2.5" SSD in a 3.5" bay, this should do you just fine. Just ensure a center mounting location works for you.

Don’t fit a 3.5” drive as claimed! 2.5” works fine, not 3.5”!

Super good product for the price. My only complaint is the screw holes on the sides of the bracket are smaller than the screws that come with the product and it took a lot of force to get them in. Once I got them in though the SSD was snug and secure in the bracket and case.

The metal is very thin and the side screws are tapped with a standard thread (they provided screws with a metric thread. If you want a cheap solution for mounting your SSD, this is it. Way better than using double stick tape.

Does what it suppose to do go fit into drive bays.
