Bicycle Creatures of The FAE Playing Cards Gent Supply, Green

This is a BEAUTIFUL deck of cards! I had a hard time finding lighting that wouldn’t create a glare against the cards, so I ended up turning off the overhead lights and using the light from the window, but it’s overcast and rainy so it doesn’t quite do the colors justice, but as you can see the illustrations are gorgeous. The Jokers are really cool - you’ve got the winter and the spring, which I think is great, as I was expecting them to be the same. The J-K are gorgeous and even the representations of the hearts, clubs, diamonds and spades are beautiful, as you can see. There’s also a card that includes who the Jack, Queen, and King are for each suit, and a very subtle texture to all the cards that keeps them from being as slippery as other new cards, which I really like. They seem a little bit thinner than a regular deck of bicycle cards, but having used them, they seem very sturdy and high-quality. I’m very pleased, and will be recommending this deck to all of my friends!

Okay, it’s my first ever video review because you have got to see just how beautiful this deck of cards are. Each suit has their own unique design and the royalty for each is a fae of the Seelie or Unseelie Courts, so you end up with 14 original illustrations (12 royalty and 2 jokers, which are both graced with a throne for the court they represent). The cards are matte but are still a little slick, but not so much as would cause trouble with shuffling or holding, rather they feel good in the hand and have a great thickness to them, so they are going to last, and that slight slickness makes for a nice and easy movement for dealing the cards. As you can see in the video I felt like sticking with a theme so instead of poker chips I bought an inexpensive set of wooden butterfly buttons to use instead. As I’ll be using these just for fun there was no need for specific monetary denominations, but that can always be remedied by writing the chip amounts on the backs of each “chip”, though I suppose I could have simply decoupaged fae themes onto a set of real poker chips. Either way, playing with these is going to be a lot of fun and I think you’ll enjoy the playability of this deck as well.

These are exactly like the product. I love these more than anything. The fae are captured so perfectly with the art style giving it that enchanting feel when interacting with the cards. They have intricate pips for each card and beautiful joker cards. They have a nice texture and they don’t even stick together making shuffling super easy. They also have a card telling you who is on the court cards. I love the green back and you get a double backer. The overall opinion are these are definitely worth it. Around my time of purchase they were $12 ish and I never regretted my purchase. These cards are also perfect to show off to a friend or relative.

Beautiful cards on thin card stock. Very bendy straight out of the box. They ARE beautiful but if you play a lot, you’ll need to rotate decks.

Great artwork and light weathered details. Holding this deck just feels special and it makes me happy.
