So the machine is quite heavy so not ideal if you have any mobility problems and need to move it around frequently. I don't find the noise an issue as it is constant but yes, it is quite noisy but in a sooothing sort of of way, no high pitches or anything like that. It collects a LOT of water and reads the moisture levels. I'm obsessed with going room to room! I've noticed less mildew on the hallway ceiling since I started using it for about an hour/two hours in the day. Very good in a cupboard too that was musty. It's a good, strong, high quality machine and very easy to empty. Just turn it on, set the level to eg 65 and then just let it do its job. No regrets from me and now excuse me, I'm off to check my humidity levels....

I rarely write customer reviews, but I just had to write one for this fabulous product and top-notch company. My house was feeling a bit damp due to the British climate and laundry was taking days to dry indoors. This little machine is attractive, inconspicuous and quiet as it sits in the corner of the room working its magic. I've had it for over a year (just bought a second one for a friend) and I wouldn't live without it now. Since day one it turned my house into a warm and cosy place to live. The radiators are no longer fighting the damp climate and the whole place feels so snug and comfortable. I hadn't even realised quite how cold it had felt before. A full load of laundry (sheets, towels ... even jeans) now dries in 3 - 5 hours and the heating system is so much more effective. Zero condensation on windows, and bathroom towels and the shower stall are now bone dry within 30 minutes of use. It even has a simple-to-use timer so I can hang out the laundry overnight and wake up to perfectly dry clothes. The water reservoir takes seconds to empty (or a tube can empty the water directly into a drain) and shuts off the machine when its full, so there's no risk of overflowing onto the wood floors. There's been no increase in my utility bill; I only wish I'd bought one sooner. I contacted the company, Inventor, to register the warranty, and to ask them a question. I don't think I've ever spoken with a more polite, quickly responsive and helpful company. They made it clear THEY were there to assist ME. A true customer-centric company with a thoroughly modern product and old-fashioned values. I've recommended this product to a number of friends who each now love their Inventor dehumidifier as much as I do. I cannot recommend Inventor or their product highly enough! Five stars!

I purchased this for a friend who has damp issues in their (very old) recently purchased property. A number of their walls have very bad issues with damp/condensation and they are absolutely delighted with how effective this Dehumidifier has been. Please be aware that my friend is aware (as should potential purchasers of this unit) that this is only a short term/temporary solution and a damp specialist has been consulted regarding the chronic/long term damp issues of the property). I chose this Model as it is the ideal size for the property (a fairly small 2 bedroom terraced house) and also for its its list of specifications. Power consumption is respectably low compared to most competitors units for the size (it may require operating for extended periods for severe damp issues) and it is claimed to remove up to approximately 12 litres of water per day (this is quoted as a maximum). There are numerous safety/auto shutdown features built into the unit (if the water container requires emptying for instance) which is important if the unit is left operating for long periods unattended. The unit is fairly easy to move around (for its weight and size) with a sturdy built in carrying handle as it is best operated as close as possible to the location where it it is most needed. Carrying the unit up a staircase should not be a major issue for anyone reasonably physically fit. The unit can be connected to an external drainage source where this is available and can also be used to dry out damp clothing/washing if required. It also filters the air as it operates so should help improve the air quality and slightly reduce the effects of anyone who suffers from Asthma or Hay fever. The one complaint with this unit (as other reviewers have pointed out) is that this is DEFINITELY NOT "silent". It can be heard from at least 20 feet away even in "silent" mode. My friend is unable to sleep with the unit operating but of course some individuals may not be as sensitive or may become accustomed to the steady hum (even when in "silent" mode). It is not "noisy" and may be quieter than some competitors units but it is DEFINITELY NOT "silent". I feel the Manufacturer should alter their wording regarding this as it is "fairly quiet" but NOT "silent" and may be false advertising. It is not a "deal breaker" for my friend however and the unit is left turned off at night. This Dehumidifier has been a godsend and my friend is absolutely delighted with it. The affected areas of damp have been dried out (albeit temporarily) with regular use (the underlying damp issues remain and will require professional attention in the near future) and it has prevented water/damp potentially ruining a recently purchased bed and sofa. The overall comfort factor of the property has been substantially improved with the humidity levels now significantly reduced (the humidity level is shown on the unit as a percentage and independent measuring devices have confirmed the readings are accurate). A very good product.

Amazing dehumidifier, very effective. quite and cheap to run, looks elegant as well. No more condensation and mold. Improves the air quality and also removed unwanted musty damp smells. Fantastic

This product has been working continuously in my garage, set at 55% rel humidity, for just over 4 months now. Judging by the amount of water discharged each day - very effective.

Excellent, just ordered my second one in 3 years for somebody as a gift, and I got my brother to buy one and my cousin in the last month, all this model, mine is still powering on after 3 years like it was on day one, there simply incredible for what they do, they dry your washing, I had mine under an over the door airing rack last night for 3 hours connected to a smart plug to monitor my usage costs, it dried all the washing on the airer and the total cost for 3 hours was, a mighty 0.11pence at my cost of electricity, oh and they remove damp from your home for good measure, just simply buy one, bin using that cost guzzling tumble drier and thank this review later ;) Actually on second thoughts, it’s about time the company reached out and offered me an affiliate link for all the business I’m driving there way :) haha Great machine

This thing is running 24/7 in my house. It is the best thing since sliced bread. I had an issue with damp and mould and this resolved it almost completely. It’s been running non stop for a month or so now and I hope it will last a long time. It quality of the product is good. It does make a noise, like a fan that’s on in the room. It stops automatically when the bucket is full. It can run continuously with a draining pipe instead of using the bucket.

Off the charts brilliant. Don't buy any other dehumidifier! Seriously! I've owned a few and this is the best I have owned, and perfectly priced and functional. Strips water from the air in hours.
