I purchased for my granddaughter who was about to take a long airplane trip and advance to first grade and she loved them.

I purchased this book to help my kids get ready for first grade, and get an idea of where they should be since schools are closed. It's colorful and the pages look like they will hold my twins interest. It is divided into 4 sections but the reading and writing, and math skills take up the first 80 activities. The first 20 reading and first 5-7 math activities look like something my kindergarteners can do after half a school year. For this reason I left out one star. It would be nice to have used only 10 or so review activities and added in more activities for learning long vowels, digraphs, or reading comprehension.

As an educator, I value those summer months when students work on their own to help exercise their brain. Now that I have a child going into first grade, I wanted to try something new. I remember ordering this book even before it was released. Now that my son is using it every day, I LOVE IT! I love the different activities. There have been word scrambles, word puzzles, cutting and pasting, riddles, syllables, letter recognition with words...and the list goes on. We are only on page 31 in the workbook and he loves doing it already! My son is even able to read the directions by himself. This was a great buy and look forward to buying the different levels for him and his brother!

This book was easy to read, nicely organized and kept my son very entertained. It was very bright and colorful and very educational. i loved that he was very happy to complete activities in this workbook vs picking up his Ipad and being glued to a screen. Definitely a great purchase, the workbook also seemed to move along the very exact curriculum that he's being taught at school at the moment so it made him even more interested to possibly anticipate what he was going to learn at school next.

I got this for my nephew who is in kindergarten. I figured my Neice could have Armani do it over the summer to get ready for first grade. They learn a lot these days in first grade so this is one of his gifts. I also got him some colored pencils for find the words and circle them. Different colors for each word to make it a bit fun for him. The book covers everything from letters to spelling to math. I feel this is a really nice workbook.
