Apply carefully. Fit should be snug but not uncomfortable.
Fits perfect. Measured for xxl but got a 2x due to weigh and larger waist size. Applied carefully. I have not worn them yet for an upcoming event under a dressy gown. Hope there is no roll down.Perfect for under formal wear. No roll down. Toileting was a little tricky but with care worked fine.

Light support & smoothing for 3x/4x pear/hourglass shapes
I wanted to post an initial review in case anyone like me has events this weekend and is considering buying this.TL; Dr: these shaper shorts are great if you're looking for light compression/support and some smoothing. As a tall plus size woman (5'11", 310lbs, 50-46-56, usually wear a 3x/4x), this item suits my needs to look a bit smoother under clingy dresses, prevent thigh chafing, and provide some abdominal compression for POTS symptoms relief. I have my highschool reunion this weekend and will be wearing a bodycon dress, so I wanted some shaper shorts that would smooth me out a bit without being uncomfortable. The mixed reviews on this item scared me a bit, but so far I'm glad I took a chance. I've been wearing them to work the past couple of days to test them out in case I needed to switch sizes or to another brand. These shaper shorts are surprisingly comfortable for having a decent amount of light-modedate compression. While I'm tall, I'm also quite short-waisted with a long hip/pelvis, and carry most of my weight in my stomach, butt, and upper thighs. The waistband comes all the way up to my bra line, but so far has not rolled down thanks to the fabric quality and small stays strategically placed. The legs are also a great length to not roll on my thick thighs - I'm easily able to adjust them higher or lower depending on the length of my skirt. The fabric is fairly breathable and soft, doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. Other than the very top of the waistband, I can't feel them on after a bit.I'm glad I went with the 4x instead of the 3x. My measurements were on the low end of the 4x, and I decided to opt for comfort over stronger compression. The shorts are quite stretchy, and I imagine someone several inches bigger than me could comfortably wear them. The shorts washed fine in a laundry bag on delicate cycle and didn't shrink too much. I can't speak to their long-term durability and performance, but I will update this review after my events with pictures and final thoughts.Overall, I definitely can recommend these to others looking for similar qualities in shaper shorts. I hope this review helps other tall plus size women as I know how hard it is to find comfortable, flattering clothing for us.

Comfortable but….
Comfortable but the legs do ride up. The waist stays put and the garment is relatively easy to put on. The fit is as described and the sizing seems correct, As described, this is not going to flatten your tummy but rather will, and does smooth out the bumps. However the legs do ride up easily and become uncomfortable. I had to readjust them multiple times throughout the day and I was not hiking and climbing mountains here. Just sitting down and getting back up caused the things to shift. Walking any distance also had the same result. For this reason alone I cannot fully recommend them.

Shapewear
5’2 150 lbs. Got a small for as much compression as possible. It’s smoothing, not shaping. It is a very stretchy material therefore it does not help suck your tummy in and shape you. It just smooths any lumps, bumps, or dips. The quality of the material is great. It is very comfortable to wear. But as far as wanting the mom pouch sucked in and shaped up I would not buy this again for that.

Must Have!
Love these shapewear shorts! The material is buttery soft and stretchy, and I had no trouble putting them on at all. One thing I really appreciate is that the shorts have the grippy wave at the bottom instead of a tight line, so they stay in place without digging into my legs. My favorite feature though is the wires that help keep the shorts up — they make such a difference and prevent rolling. For reference, I usually wear a size 18/2X in pants and ordered the XL/XXL. They fit well, but I think I could’ve sized down to the L/XL for a more snug, sculpted fit. Overall, I still absolutely love them and would definitely recommend!

Smoothing
I love these. I bought my first pair over a year ago. I am 5’2” and weigh 166 lbs. I am very curvy. After reading reviews the first time I purchased a Med/Lrg. It wasn’t as snug as I hoped it would be but it did smooth me out. After wearing it for a while I felt like I would be able to wear a small. So I decided to try it. I like the small better. It fits tighter. It’s not uncomfortable to me. I don’t have any problems with it riding up or down. They are not hardcore hold you in type material but they do what I want them to which is smooth me out and help to look nicer in my clothes. They do help to hold my belly in but it’s not like extreme tummy control. I’m very satisfied with this product.

As comfortable as they are functional!
I am the least tolerant person on the planet if something is even slightly uncomfortable, seriously. I'm like a perpetual 5 year old coming home from church - everything comes off as soon as I get home. And all I can say is that these were delivered today right before I had a hair appointment, so I put them on, they felt great, and now I'm still wearing them after returning home from my appointment and working from my couch - they are that comfortable. For size reference, I'm 5'2" and 240 lbs, mainly in the "menopause zone" around the middle, and super short-waisted, and the "X-Large-XX-Large" size fits like a dream.

Lots of the reviews described the product being too big when ordering the size according to the chart. The shorts fit, but they didn't really provide the support expected. On the advice of a few, I purchased a size xs/s instead of m/l like I normally do.When I looked at the shorts, I thought there was no way that I was going to be able to fit my skinny-squishy 165lb body in those itty-bitty things. But I did. And without much effort at all. They're tight, but they're not snatching my waist like they're supposed to. Everything is smoothed out. No bulges. And I can breathe, but it didn't shape my stomach. My stomach is still pooching out like it did before. There's just smooth flub-blub now instead of multiple flub-blubs and no muffin top (which is nice).I sat down on the bed to see if it was possible to still breathe (it was) and I looked at the package. On the back of the package it says "Plus-size black small" and it now makes sense why I am able to wear it.I'm 5'11. 165lbs. All of my weight is in my stomach, hips, and thighs. I wear a size 10-12 in jeans.Plus-sized clothing is made specifically to accommodate a body type that is beautifully voluptuous. Plus-sized clothing is labeled "16W" or "16 curvy" fur example. The W or curvy indicating that it will fit a fuller figured individual. I know there's not a small in plus-size, but I think I've figured it out nonetheless:I have a friend that wears a size 14 curvy which is another way to tell the shopper that this product is constructed differently from a size 14 regular. The curvy or the W are constructed in a way that allows a fuller figure to settle comfortably unlike the regular that would be far too tight and constricting in the waiste, knees, and calves. Anyway...I checked on Amazon and found a plus-size Shapermint, high waisted shaper shorts that can be purchased in size S-3xl. These shorts are made like the curvy or W to accommodate curves that a woman who wore a regular small would not have. I believe the seller may have accidentally shipped a plus-sized garment when the purchaser wanted a regular rather than plus. And I think that this is why some buyers are talking about sizing down while others are describing being swallowed by a boa constrictor and not being able to breathe, or move, or sit.Maybe if I had a regular small then I'd be complaining about that, too because, trust me, I may be skinny-squishy but I haven't been able to fit into a small anything since 9th grade. And that was 32 years ago. 🤷♀️

Shapewear Success!
I bought these SHAPERMINT High Waisted Body Shaper Shorts to wear under my wedding dress, which is being custom made, so I needed something that would smooth and support without being super uncomfortable. I honestly wasn’t looking forward to wearing shapewear. I haven’t worn any in years and my past experiences weren’t great.I was pleasantly surprised by how good these are. They took a few centimetres off my waist and smoothed everything out without feeling too tight or restrictive. Compared to shapewear I’ve worn in the past, these are much more comfortable. The material feels firm but breathable, and the boning adds extra support without digging in or rolling down.I wore them for a decent amount of time to test comfort and they were comfortable enough to wear all day. Overall, I’m really happy with them and would definitely recommend them, especially for special occasions like a wedding but also for everyday wear.

Great fit and comfortable!
After reading some of the reviews from a couple of years back, I was hesitant to order these... even though I've been wanting a pair of them for quite some time. But the more recent positive reviews made me think the product had improved. And given the details they included, along with photos, they seemed quite legit to me. So I went ahead and ordered them—taking into consideration the strong recommendation to buy a size smaller—and am so happy I did. They arrived several hours ago (I ordered them last night), and I've only just had time to try them on now. I started this review about half an hour ago and have been pulled away several times, so now I can say in confidence that they were not only comfortable when I first put them on, but after sitting and standing multiple times, they are still comfortable AND neither the top rolled down nor did the bottoms roll up. I can't tell you how happy this makes me as this has been an issue in the past shortly after putting on other brands of clothing from girdles to thigh-highs.I have sensitive skin, including eczema, and usually if something is going to bother me, it happens almost immediately... at least within the first half hour. So far, no itchiness or other discomfort.I'd like to share photos, but silly me forgot to take a before pic... so I'll try to add them later. Suffice it to say, these have helped me achieve the desired goal of holding in my lower belly. I'm in my early 60's and had lost 70 lbs pre-covid then gained 100 of it back post-covid. I'm working my way back down and am currently somewhere just under 260 lbs (I have to wait for weigh-in Wednesday for the next accurate weight). As I age and lose weight, the elasticity of my belly is taking longer to kick into place and the extra skin kinda folds down, so this was my #1 reason for wanting these shaper shorts. I'm 5'4" and have thicker legs from having been somewhat athletic in my younger years (sports, used to teach dance, avid walker, etc.) and a short midriff, with a pronounced S-curve in my spine. I also suffer from back pain from a vehicle accident some years back. Suffice it to say, clothing tends to fit me rather awkwardly. But so far, these Shapermint Shaper Shorts (love the alliteration) are feeling very comfortable and snug, as if they were made for me.I should also mention that I had to have hubby help me put these on for the very first time; but I think I'll be fine to put them on solo from here. I sure hope so, because frequent bathroom breaks are my life these days. Also, I checked these shorts thoroughly when I opened the package, and had my husband do the same, just in case I missed something. They are flawless, great design and good quality. The price was never a deterrent (even though I live on a fixed income), because I adhere to the old adage, "You get what you pay for"—and these shorts were worth every penny. I guess how long they last will depend on how often I wear them, but at this point, I think I'll be ordering another pair. These are black, I think I'll go for the beige ones next. These might not work for everyone, but they worked for me... and I seriously do *not* have the best of luck when it comes to clothing. Just remember, if you're looking for a bit of support, order a size smaller. I'm currently a XXXXL but ordered XXXL. It's certainly not making me look any thinner, but that's not what I was going for... I just wanted a smoother appearance when I wear my beloved leggings out of the house. And now, I'm feeling a little more confident to consider wearing a snug fitting dress again.Cheers everyone. And Happy New Year!Mental Note: Don't forget to post pics later. :DPS. It's been an hour now and still comfortable!
