Radio is packed with features for the price!!! I was a Futaba person before I got hooked on Spektrum radios, but their cost is just too much to bear. I tried finding an equivalent radio in spektrum and I was able to buy this radio along with the plane I wanted all for the same price as the Spektrum radio.

This is a great RC radio and receiver. Not sure why most will spend 5 times more money on a more complex radio. This one does the job perfectly fine. The model I bought FS-i6x came with a 10 channel receiver. I usually only need 6 but this allows adding extra features for later on if needed. Receivers are inexpensive and easy to find and bind to radio. Right now I have 6 receivers for all the planes I have. Very simple interface to switch planes. The only thing I can complain about is the physical size. I would like to see a slightly larger shell. But this is a very minor point that does not alter my rating.

It’s gonna be a while before I can use all the functions on this radio. Built a 4 foot tugboat with big plans. It obviously goes forward and backwards and write in the left, when I’m done with it, it will have full lighting, navigation and floodlights. it will also have a smoke generator, sound module, working 10 pound winch on the back of it, working fold over recovery forks on the front of it for lifting boats out of the water. So as a 10 channel radio, I should be able to control all the different functions of the boat right here. Price point is fantastic, so far have zero issues with the radio. I would definitely recommend this.

It value the money. However the plastic looks and feel very cheap (it is). Excellent for DIY'ers. If you want a more professional experience maybe it is not the controller you are looking for. Something that I disliked is the PS/2 connector to be in the back of the unit, making it fragile when laying back on a table. Also, sometimes the connected falls out in a middle of a simulator session.

Not sure why there were many negative reviews about this item. But it worked like a charm for me. Receiver has 10 channels. After connecting battery, the receiver paired with the transmitter. Make sure your battery is atleast 7V. I initially tried with 3.7v lipo, which did not work, at which point, thought the item was faulty. But later switched with 7.4v lipo, and it worked like a charm. Instructions are not very clear on which channel the transmitter controls map to, but not very difficult to figure it out. Throttle stick is great, accelerates and decelerates nicely. Aileron, Rudder controls work nice too. I would give 5 stars for now. I am still making my plane. I will come back and update my review after flying it.

If you don`t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a transmitter and receiver for your RC hobbies, this is the one to get. You can get extra 6 channel or 10 channel receivers for it cheap so that you can use this transmitter for all your helicopters and airplanes. However, it will not bind to spektrum receivers. Overall, its a great deal!

Im not sure the distance on this thing, but i was flying alot further than i thought. Just make sure you set up your failsafes. Good quality, good receiver. I use the 10 channel, they also have a 6 channel. If you are building on a budget, this transmitter is a must!

30+ year RC modeler. Got as far as programming and setting up radio with Hitec Servos. Was encouraging, but bottom line the radio response on all channels was so “herkyJerky” I rwent back to Futaba. Things to good to be true aren’t and you get what you pay for…

My first RC radio, still use on my Sim, recently updated to the FS-ST8 for flying...as setting it up is almost the same process as the FS-i6X...Good Co.
