Can it hold a drill or two?

If your talking a small impact drill then yes. I put my milwaukee fuel m12 impact in the front no problem. The larger 18v would be an issue. You might want the full size pro pac for larger drills.

Is the this the new style of the LT bag with rigid handle

Yes it is. At least the one they sent me was. Great product. I’m impressed.

Does the laptop area have padding at the bottom? I've noticed the cheaper ones just have plastic bottoms on the inside.
