Good value for the amount you get, and it mixes nicely into chunky aroid soil mixes without turning everything into dust. The chunk sizes were pretty solid overall and worked well alongside bark, coco chips, perlite, and worm castings in my Monstera/Philodendron mix. I mainly use biochar to help keep the mix airy while hopefully giving beneficial stuff a place to hang out and do plant science things. No complaints so far — plants seem happy, roots look healthy, and I somehow continue spending concerning amounts of money turning dirt into designer dirt.

This is a fantastic product. I use this (in a small amount) in every plant that I pot. 5-10% max is all you need. It works as an antioxidant for your soil and helps keep your plants healthy.

Very easy to use. The amount was enough to last 3 seasons. Immediate results on patches of dry, brittle ground.

This was my first time buying this brand, and it’s a finer texture than I have used in the past. I prefer it a little coarser to help aerate the soil mix, and for the charcoal layer in terrariums. That said, this is a nice product that I’ll happily use. Not too dusty.

I use this Organic Biochar as a mixture with turkey grit, compost and peat moss in my shade areas in my garden to improve the drainage and right amount of water retention. Another benefit, it’s rumored those large thuggish non native worms hate it. I also add a little to my pot soil mixture. All my pots and new plantings did phenomenal this year.
