TEKTON 1/2 Inch Drive Shallow and Deep 6-Point Socket and Ratchet Set with Case, 51-Piece (10 - 32 mm) | SKT25201

I love these socket sets. I've used them the past five years for small engine equipment repairs, car repairs, appliances, etc. They grip securely without stripping, won't come off the ratchet without pushing the quick release, and have stood up attached to breaker bars, power tools, even my impact wrenches (before i learned you're not supposed to do that.) Lifetime warranty if they ever do break I've never had that problem. Nice that the sets do not skip sizes. You always know you have the one you need. They come in a great case with metal hinge pins that won't break on you after a few years like other plastic cases. The pins can be pushed out so you can separate the case into trays to fit your tool cabinet if you wish. I'm positive these sockets will outlive me. I just hope one day they will go to someone who will appreciate them as much as I have.

This set is the only one I’ve seen that doesn’t skip a single size. I’ve had the 1/4” and 3/8” sets for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger on the 1/2” set. “No regerts”

This set has every 1/2" drive socket that you're likely to ever need short of something extremely large. The fit-and-finish of the tools is top-notch, the 90-tooth ratchet is very smooth, and the case is durable. Overall an excellent value for a super-nice socket set. Do note that the full case weighs over 40 lbs and it covers a lot of real estate when opened flat so it isn't very handy to carry around and work out of. I knew this before buying and it isn't a problem for how I will use the set in the shop and around the farm but some folks might do better with several smaller sets if easier portability is important.

Edit: February 2024 I keep fixing my old Durango from time to time and these tools are still looking great and going strong. No rust to report. I’d definitely buy again. No doubt. Excellent value for the money. I had some AC issue with my car. It ended being more, I had to replace radiator, battery, AC system. So far I've only used these for about 10hours. Not sure I'll have to use them that much in the future. I've already bought cheap crappy tools in the past and this toolset doesn't seems to be like that. It seems to be a good product, strong built. It doesn't feel cheap when using it. Had to use all the main parts in the box and I'm pretty happy with the overall content. I'm very happy with my purchase so far. I'll update if I notice corrosion or any bad things... Edit; April 21 Well I ended up having more issues to fix on the car... One year later and these tools do not have a single spot of corrosion (some Amazon basics tools I bought at the same time were fully covered in rust within a couple of months).

Master set for both SAE and Metric. Good ratchet and breaker bar too. Comes in a good plastic case. I have way too many sockets that have grown legs over the years and walked off. This was ordered as a master ser to replace all my othec1/2" drive sockets so I do not have so many empty spots on my current socket rack in my tool box. The only negative is the weight. If you had to lug this around much. You would have one arm longer than the other. As I recall it is 46.5 lbs or somewhere near that, but it is a master 1/2" socket set with ratchet, breaker bar, extensions and other accessories. I would highly recommend this if you need SAE and Metric in a master set.

This is a beast of a 1/2 drive socket set, (close to 40lbs or 18.23 kgs) , I bought the 83 piece set after my experience of using two other Tekton socket sets, a 1/4 drive and a 3/8 drive sets, they are all considered a Prosumer set, I would describe them as (tool truck quality of Chineese tools) , everything about this set is outstanding quality, there is absolutely nothing about all three of the sets I do not like, I started out using Tekton brand with the purchase of a 1/4 drive socket set, which was better than anything I used, and then bought the 3/8 drive set with same positive experience, even the cases for all three sets have quality second to none, all the parts of the sets can be removed and reinstalled without a major effort of trying to force sockets back into their place by tilting one end of socket or ratchet with minimal force and a full set can be dropped on cement floor, picked up and everything stays in place, all three of my sets are the best tools I have ever used.

I cannot believe the mass of this set! It is a whopping 44lbs! Idk what I was expecting but this set is crazy big! The price point is incredible for a full set of sockets that don't skip any sizes. The container is well laid out and sturdy and the sockets are so beefy. If you're on the fence.. Buy it! I had a socket set of 12 points that went up to 19 mm and 13/16..seemed like I had to go to the hardware store to get a new size every few projects. Not any more! I already purchased the 1/4 set. I will definitely be buying the middle 3/8 set after seeing the quality of these kits. Thanks Tekton!

When I first received this item I was extremely dissatisfied. The item was clearly a used item and void of it’s original packaging, and packed in a generic Amazon box. When I opened the socket set, sockets spilled on the floor and there were pieces and sockets missing from the set. Items like the ratchet had fingerprints on them. I ordered a replacement, and Amazon quickly shipped it to me. I couldn’t be happier with the replacement. The set was shipped in a Tekton cardboard box, the socket set inside was held closed with a black zip tie (similar to the other Tekton socket sets I’ve ordered). Inside the socket set there was a removable cardboard divider keeping everything in place and scratch free during shipment. Everything in the new set was as I would expect from Tekton. The set is of excellent quality and is comparable to much more expensive sets. At the end of the day I’m really happy with my purchase. Amazon quickly rectified the issues I had with the original set shipped to me and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this or other Tekton products. *As a side note, the first two images are of the original set shipped to me and the third is the replacement.
