PureComfort Side Sleeping Pillow Cover - Machine Washable Pillow Case for Standard or Soft Side Sleeping Pillow - Pillow Sold Separately

I took my time to use this before reviewing it. This is not a big poofy fluffy pillow that will sit on your grand king sized bed next to your other poofy but useless pillows. This pillow is 100% workhorse. I have never used a pillow like this before, and hopefully will only use this one from here on out. My ear pain that I would get almost every night from my other feather, synthetic, and even more firm memory foam pillows would wake me up at night with throbbing ears, and often I had a lot of trouble getting the right support and wake with neck pain. I ordered this out of desperation and am so glad! It's soft enough around the ears without losing its support, and comes with a couple of inserts that raise the height of the pillow if you prefer (I use both of these inserts). I appreciate that I can lie on my side to read with glasses on, and the holes will support the glasses frame enough that I can actually read comfortably. The company also sent me a free extra pillowcase. I do use a regular pillowcase over the one it came with, just so it won't get bullied sitting on the bed with the poofy ones who look pretty but don't get used. This pillow changed my sleep quality, and I highly recommend it.

For a few years I’ve been suffering with side sleeping ear pain. So much so that I seemed a dermatologist thinking that I could possibly have skin cancer on my ear from how sore, red and inflamed it had become. This dermatologist recommended I look into a donut shaped ear pillow for sleeping, I completely ignored her pillow suggestion until recently when my ear pain had increased. So I starting researching and read too many pillow reviews to count. I came across this pillow and was instantly sold when I read the review from a gentleman who posted before and after pictures of his similar ear sleeping pain, and how wonderful this pillow was. He was right! I’ve only used the pillow for one week now, but I’m beyond thrilled to see my red inflamed ear from side sleep has already started to subside! Amazing product that’s seriously comfortable shredded foam inside with a super soft zipper cover included. Some complained of smelling off, but I’ve had no smell issues. Buy this pillow if you suffer from side sleeping ear pain, it’s worth the it and you won’t be disappointed!

I purchased this pillow a year ago because I sleep on my side exclusively and have painful cartilage nodules on both ears. Before the purchase I had resorted to carving holes in 3" foam from the craft store and using that as my lower pillow - not terribly comfortable but better than any regular pillow. In addition it helps me fall asleep if I cover my exposed ear - regular pillows would stay in place there, but the pressure of even a lightweight pillow really hurt my ear. I am a small woman. The height of this PureComfort side sleeper pillow, minus "risers" , is perfect but the sides (between outside edge and hole) are long enough that it makes breathing through my nose tricky. My compromise is to use the craft foam pillow for below and the PureComfort above. Making a head sandwich : )) The Pure Comfort is dense and supremely soft. Because the hole doesn't go all the way through, the pillow acts like a noise canceling headphone - making voices and car traffic on my busy street disappear. The lack of pressure on my ear cartilage has helped heal it. I'd been afraid the memory foam would be hot in the summertime, but it stays comfortable all night long. I expect this is an unconventional way to use this pillow but it works wonderfully for me. If they every came out with a smaller version I'd get it too!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! This is my 3 try with an ear pillow. I suffer from right upper ear inflammation for almost a year. Been under derm care - had steroid injection, didn’t work. On a cream for inflammation. Anyways, as soon as I received this pillow I went to bed right away (insomnia). It came with 2 addition pieces so that you can adjust the height. I used it all and I still use a soft pillow under it. I have to say that the pillow cover is extremely soft and it’s designed to sit into the ear holes. Does not hurt my ear at all!’ And the pillow is not very firm, although I wish it were, but I still manage to sleep very well during the night. No need to keep readjusting my ear into the hole when it would touch in inner seams. I have been sleeping like a baby. And I hope this will finally allow my ear to heal. My only concern is if the material of the pillow will eventually flatten. I hope not. But I will update review in about a month or so. For now.. sweet dreams

I purchased this pillow because I'm a side sleeper and have been having issues with my ears hurting after laying on my memory foam pillow for too long, so I liked the idea of the ear holes. For that purpose, it works great! 10/10. Not sure if it's necessary to get this one with the two holes or if the other one they sell with one hole would be fine too....but this one works for me. Also, the adjustable height thing is a great idea - I didn't love it at first but took off a layer and now it's much better. The bad news is that the "protective cover" it comes with has started tearing and I only bought it less than 2 months ago. Furthermore, I haven't even been using it every night and have had a regular pillowcase on top so I haven't washed it yet. I contacted the seller about it and haven't gotten a response yet....but if you buy this I would expect to have to replace the case sooner than you'd think. This wouldn't be that big of an issue if you just use a different pillowcase, but I have found that the ear holes dont work as well with a standard pillowcase on top because it's hard to get it as far down into the hole as it needs to be. Best case, you end up with a much shallower hole and pressure on your ear again. Less pressure than before probably, but it really works best with the custom case it comes with and it's $20 for a replacement. :/ I've also seen lots of reviews about the pillow itself falling apart so it seems like there are durability issues all over the place. As such, I'm going with 3/5 overall.

I’ve been struggling with waking up in the middle of the night with incredibly sore ears for years now. Have tried a variety of things and chucked £20 here and £30 there on pillows hoping it would finally help my weary head finally rest. I finally plucked up the courage/was desperate enough to spend the £60 on this pillow and I am SO glad I did! I have not had sore ears the entire 3 months since I purchased the pillow! Longest record so far in my entire adult life, and looks like it’ll keep going. I spent quite a bit of money at the dentists thinking my sore ears/side of my jaw was due to teeth grinding but since buying the pillow I’ve had no pain. I left off leaving a review for awhile due to wanting to check if it holds up after a bit. Other memory foam pillows got incredibly hard or really flat after 1 month, but I’m very relieved to report that this pillow continues to be soft and pliable as of 3 months in. Good ‘bounce-back-ability’. I switch between side and back sleeping so when I’m on my back, the centre middle bit is low enough where I’m able to lie comfortably without having a big kink in my neck. When sleeping on my side, I pull the pillow closer and slightly to an angle to its higher walls on the outer edges and it helps keep my head inline with my spine (and I’ve got fairly broad shoulders-ranking in as a 5’9” female). The extra pads are excellent and I use both of them. The pillow’s not the prettiest thing in the world, but I am more than happy to showcase it and tell people how great the funny looking pillow is because of how well rest I am now! 10/10 highly recommend for anyone struggling with sore ears/not finding a pillow soft enough while also giving support as a side sleeper. Side note: the customer service has been above and beyond and I can’t thank the company enough! (Not sponsored or paid. This item is ridiculously overpriced, but very comfortable. I bought it because I'm a side sleeper who needs a firmer pillow for neck support, but firm pillows cause a lot of pain in my ears, so the holes in this pillow are positioned perfectly for me. I couldn't find anything else with a similar design. The pillow itself is very soft and squishy, yet supportive, with a memory foam -like quality that is much nicer than other memory foam pillows I've tried. I've used it for six months and haven't noticed any deforming. If you need to relieve ear pain and can afford to invest in this, get it. + Comfortable + Good support + Holes positioned well + Removable cover is very soft + Works for side and back sleeping - Very expensive - Shape at the bottom is a bit strange and squishes the bottom half of your face a bit - it's not possible to move closer to the edge without moving your ear away from the hole; turning the pillow upside-down makes the holes too high
