ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS!
Breathtaking Live performance by The Great FRANK SINATRA. A MUST!!

Nice n Easy
In probably his last live concert on cd, a lot of the standards, but also some songs not often heard live such as Change Partners, Nice n Easy, Where or When, and sounding pretty strong for 71, at the time. Some occasional banter with the crowd. Overall, a very good performance but they were never long enough!

We will never see his kind again
This is Sinatra at a peak in his career, and the man was in his 70's!! Of course he doesnt have the same voice he had in the 50's, but if anything, he is even a better singer he was back then. Listen to New York, New York again and tell me he has lost his voice...no he didnt! It is a shame Sinatra didnt make more studio albums on this period as he was in full command of his voice.Great notes, great photos, great package, great mastering. An all around winner and classy packgage for the best singer of the 20th century. Make sure you buy a copy for all your friends too!

I Will Always Try Amazon First!
There was one song by Frank Sinatra that I had always loved and was unable to find it anywhere until I searched Amazon. "Live AT the Meadowlands (with Bonus CD) had "Let Me Try Again" on the Bonus CD so I ordered it and hoped the condition would be okay. I was really surprised to find that the CD was almost new and probably never really played, and that there were even songs by Frank that I hadn't heard before either. A great find - Thanks Amazon! I know where to look first when something I need is hard to find.

Note to self: don't buy concert albums in general, ~ buy the 'younger' Frank as well.
Note to self: buy the younger Frank's cd's...He cuts off notes he used to effortlessly hold and the smooth, creamy voice sounds, as it should, a bit the worse for wear...I purchased this for one song by him that I could find nowhere else and am happy to have it. I also don't usually buy a concert format as I don't care for the extra chat for the audience and applause, etc. There was only One Voice like his though and one can't blame him for using it as long as, even past, possible. I saw him at 75 and it was just sad... At his best, no one will Ever top him. He will Always be the Ultimate interpreter of lyrics, and I liked how he often gave credit to the song's creators which almost no one else did/does. Always my favorite singer ~

It's Frank for those who listen blindly.
Listened to on-line samples of this disk and maybe I should have stopped there. I ordered, the disk arrived and I've listened several times. It's Frank, alright, but that about sums it up. Too often it's a scenario of going through the motions. Age did not descend graciously. This Frank, though obviously eager to entertain [and satisfy], sounds like the primary objective was to hit the right notes at the right times with the right lyric. The moments of magical phrasing that came natural in the 50s, 60s and 70s are, sadly, too few and far between. To my ear this is an aged Frank still attmepting to be the mature and middle-aged Frank, a time when he simply had no peer, but there are many times when lyrical interpretation comes up a bit short. It's hard to explain but with all that being said there are enough moments to make to worthwhile. I'll listen on.

Sinatra Live in the 1980's
Here Frank commits to a live recording containing songs from his long career. It must have been wonderful to experience him live in concert as this C.D. testifies.Although older he certainly has a definite magic that few singers possess today. He opens with "Without a Song" which is just great and sets the tenor of the evenings performance for those lucky enough to be there. He engages the audience with masterful performances and does not disappoint. At times nostalgic then modern in his approach - I guess style never goes out of fashion.

Sinatra at the Meadowlands.
This is a lovely CD and Sinatra is at his best in front of a live audience.I just wish that there was a DVD of it.
