Large bag with flavorful and oily flakes as they should be. Very happy with purchase. This is an excellent pepper flake for all, but it's especially good if you have people who can't handle heat. Aleppo pepper has a sweet flavor with a pleasant heat that is tolerable for most. It's a good substitute for red pepper flakes if you cook for people who think those are hot. But, this is a pepper that stands on its own and can easily become one of your go to flavors.

Tomato, raisin, cumin, smokiness, it’s an amazing flavor with virtually no heat so I usually sprinkle some dried Carolina reaper powder with it for a kick but this has to be my favorite chile pepper there is. I literally dump it by the tablespoon on my foods. This is the best price and size other than one that I saw 2lb size but that was barely cheaper per lb. Quality wise unrivaled here.

I have always loved and purchased Aleppo pepper. It should not be too spicy and never has been. This product tastes great but is so spicy that no one but me can eat food with it. Others I have always purchased have been great flavor and I would use large amounts all the time but never spicy like this. It is very good but do not know why the heat level is so high. It did advertise as "HEAT" though

First, I love the flavor Aleppo peppers add to Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes and have been incorporating them into other recipes for that flavor. I tried a different brand in the past and was disappointed with the quality and flavor. I recently tried these and was pleasantly surprised. They are much more flavorful adding the taste I was looking for in my cooking.

I bought these because several recipes I wanted to try called for them and I couldn't find them in any local stores so I picked them up here, online. When I bought these I had no idea how much I'd enjoy these pepper flakes. The flavor is smokey and spicy but not too spicy which is perfect for me! My favorite thing to do with these is to make chili oil for my poached eggs, just add three tablespoons of butter and one tablespoon of pepper flakes to a skillet and simmer for a few minutes then dribble onto eggs for the best eggs of your life! I'll be buying these again once I've ran out.
