I ordered two shipments - a total of 9 thermostats. They seem to work great. Time will tell. I live in a rural area. Usually takes a while for shipping. Somehow these were delivered the next day. Very happy with the product at this time

Easy to hook up and works well with the Heater. Since all the cold air in the garage settles, I mounted the thermostat about 3 feet from the floor since that’s where I work on cars and other items. Versus up at eye level.

Purchased this thermostat as a replacement for a Honeywell (that I was never really happy with). It's located in a challenging spot to warm a 3 season room. The swap was straight forward and I will say this unit totally outperforms the Honeywell. Way more stable and holds temp well. Dial is easier to read as well.

Item was NOT NEW. Wiring had obviously been connected before, and wire identification labels were damaged. I installed it anyway and it worked ok.

GOT THIS TO GO WITH MY OVERHEAD GARAGE HEATER. IT'S A HIGH VOLTAGE THERMOSTAT. I HAD AN ELECTRICIAN COME IN AND WIRE MY SHOP. HE HOOKED THIS THERMOSTAT UP TO MY HEATER. IT WORKS GREAT. I DON'T GET HUNG UP OVER DETAILS SO IF IT'S OFF BY A COUPLE OF DEGREE'S I'LL NEVER KNOW IT. ALL I KNOW IS IT WORKS LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO AND KEEPS MY SHOP NICE AND COMFORTABLE. IF YOUR PLANNING ON INSTALLING HEAT IN YOUR GARAGE OR SHOP AND YOU DON'T WANT TO MESS AROUND WITH WIRING CONTACTORS AND RELAYS AND TIMERS. GET ONE OF THESE. THEY SWITCH THE HIGH VOLTAGE SIDE AND ARE VERY EASY TO INSTALL. THANSK

Most will be using 10/2 Romex with ground on a 30 amp breaker - this product touts a 28Amp. Rating, a breaker should always protect the wire. The housing of the device is also metal but is ungrounded - it is supposedly isolated. Any variation of temp reading from the unit vs a thermometer can be attributed to wire and device heating instead of actual temperature but the device is accurate. To make this product better use a larger work box (4 gang, grounded if applicable) to disperse the build up of heat from the wires and make the unit more accurate. This product would be better if it came with such an enclosure and I am still dubious to the lack of grounding for the metal encasement but for the price it works I would have paid more for more. I just wish it was implemented better. I bought this to work with a 5kw comfort zone heater and it does what it needs to. Easy to install, don’t cut any strands off the tinned copper and use as large of an enclosure you can to keep it accurate.

I mounted a DR-975 heater 1 foot below the ceiling in my shop, per the DR-975 Owners Manual. I could find no way to prevent it from short cycling using its internal sensor. Installing this DR-001 external thermostat solved that problem. If you plan to mount a DR Heater within 3 feet of a ceiling, buy and install this external wired thermostat as well.

When I got this product it came with absolutely NO protection in the box. just the thermostat box with a shipping label. Horrible packaging. It has been 2 weeks that I had this product and I just walked into my shed and it was like a sauna, 85-90F when I have the thermostat set on 72F which normally kept the shed at 55F. Accuracy was garbage when it did work, now it won't shut off and calls for heat unless the dial is on 'OFF' even when my shed is burning hot. First time I have tried a thermostat other than Honeywell and this will be my last. Also, whoever designed this product is not very smart. I had to extend my wiring. Instead of keeping the Line wires at the bottom like any other themostat, this has one on the bottom and one on top. Doesn't even make sense. 0 stars. Do not buy.
