Bushwacker 40082-02 Black OE-Style Smooth Finish Rear Fender Flares for 2007-2013 Sierra 1500; 2007-2014 Sierra 2500 HD

I had the typical wheel well rust, as most pickup trucks do. I repaired it once, but it was coming back. I checked with a local body shop, to price a proper repair. Since it would cost thousands, I decided to use rust inhibitor (a LOT of it!), and install these. I like the look, and they covered the rusted area (about a 2" section).Here's the PROS and CONS:PROS: They did what I wanted them to do. Cover the rust, and they improve the look of my truck. I did have them painted by a body shop, instead of just the black plastic look. So, they're 90% of what I expected.CONS: First, only 2 out of 6 holes on each side line up with the factory holes. Instructions show that they line up, for an OE fit. They don't. Also, nothing is mentioned about needing to drill new holes. You have to. Second, the short screws that are provided, are useless. Especially since things already don't line up. I had to buy better, longer screws. Lastly, they don't 100% form to the body of the truck. I have about a 3/16" gap, for about 3 to 4" in each flare (see photo). No matter how much adjusting I did, I couldn't get rid of that gap. Not extremely noticeable, but I'm pretty OCD, so, I'd like to see a better fit.Overall, they serve the purpose, and they don't look too bad. Just wish they installed, and fit, the way they should.

They look great. I wish the description included more about how they attach. I’m using them to hide embarrassing rust over top of wheel well. Unfortunately that’s where they attach. Would be great if they were made with double sided tape on a flat surface under the top portion of the flare. That way the rubber strips wouldn’t be required and they would blend in even better and attach more securely. Very good material and painted to match.

Absolutely awesome product, fit is perfect, had painted to match. Easy to install, greateasy to read instructions. Purchased clear door edge guard to replace the black which was shipped, to make more of a seamless transition between fender flares and boxside

Flares were as described and when applied performed as desired to cover some ‘cancer’ on my 2009 Sierra 2500. I prepped them with plastic primer and two coats of duplicolor spray paint (it took 3 cans)! I’m pleased with the Bushwacker product - May do the front oneS in the future.

Bought because said would fit my vehicle didn’t fit. Return was easy and convenient though
