This is a well-made and well designed product that works perfectly. The motion sensor is just sensitive enough. We have two, the earlier model from years ago and the new model with a latch to make it pet-proof. The outside cleans up very easily. These are two of the best kitchen purchases we ever made.

I've owned a number of these types of garbage cans over the years and this has been my favorite. While they all basically perform the same way, it's the form factor and space they occupy that has been especially important for our home. I have two, side by side in the kitchen, just off the island. One is for garbage and the other is for recycling. They fit perfectly in the space. I also have one in my RV. My fourth purchase has been for my parents who were still relying on the "step on the paddle to open" version that had broken years ago, but they refused to throw it out. They simply lift the lid. . . until last month when I gifted them with one of these. Who says a 90 year old woman can't get excited about an upgrade in her life? It's pretty funny to see her get so excited by just passing her hand over the garbage can and watching it open. Even my dad, who hates it when I buy them stuff has embraced this garbage can. I loaded them up with plastic bags for the year and it's probably the best gift they've received all year! Too funny. The can may seem a little small at first, but it holds a lot and the bag can get pretty hefty to carry out of the house. Don't underestimate this gem.

I was skeptical on the size of this can but we have been using it for 2 months now and its just the right size. We use it for recycled items and it fits most bottles and cardboards that can be purchased in super markets, not for cardboards boxes. The sensor is a little slow but very convenient when you have your hands full of items to throw in the bin. It was a good purchase.

Compact and good look for a trash can. Works good enough except for glitches at times. I bought the recommended trash bags that are no good in my opinion and crack easily.

We absolutely love this trash can. It is very well made and works both with the plug or with batteries. The bag stays very secure on the inside of the can. I would recommend this product and would purchase it again in necessary.

Quit working after 6 months but still lifted the lid manually until eventually after a year that quit working. Yes, that's right, cannot even open it manually! The motor and electronics are not sealed from the garbage, moisture causes corrosion and gums up the whole mechanism. The odor control never worked well. The motion control is triggered by overhead cabinets so can't place it where we wanted.

I gave it 5 stars because it is a decent trash can that works as advertised. Arrived on time, motion sensor works, has a little carbon filter so the house doesn't smell like trash. It does everything I want it to do.

I love this trashcan. It’s a fun new gadget and looks good. At first it was too close to the toilet paper, and would open when I reached for the roll. I moved it an inch or two and now it doesn’t open unless I want it to. But take note of the size of your space and if anything will interfere with use of the sensor or opening of the lid.
