Awesome Frame Set, build details below....
I have about 1,000 miles on this bike, so I decided it is time to post a review. I built this frame-set up over the winter. I am 5'10" and chose a size 55 frame. State recommends a 57 for my height/inseam, but the 55 seems to be a perfect fit. The components that I used are as follows:SRAM Omnium 172.5 Crank/GXP Bottom BracketControl Tech Ipost 20mm Offset 31.6 x 300 Seat PostTektro R520 Front BrakeSRAM PC1 ChainShimano Dura-Ace 15T x 1/8" COG & Lock RingVuelta Zero-Lite WheelsFSA Orbit Z Ceramic HeadsetRace Face Evolve StemSpecialized Romin Evo SeatBullhorn HandlebarsI ride this bike on the road for cadence, speed training, and commuting. It is very stiff and responsive, yet comfortable and easy to ride. The frame quality is excellent, nice welds, nice finish, and the full carbon fork is solid. The bike did come with a seat clamp and headset. I had to replace the original headset because the seal was compromised in poor conditions. I recommend starting with an FSA Orbit Z headset instead of using the supplied headset. The only thing I may change is the wheel set. The Vuelta Zero-Lite's are a solid and inexpensive wheel set, but I am looking at replacing them with a lighter/more aero carbon set. Out of the 4 fixed gear's that I own, this bike is by far my favorite. If you are looking for a solid frame set at a great price, this is the bike for you.

Very nice
Very nice quality for a moderately priced frame. Welds are nice, paint is flawless and the metalflake looks sweet. I like the fact that it's only got one decal. No ugly graphics all over the frame. The frame was also nicely prepped. The seat tube was properly reamed, the headset pressed in nicely, and the bottom bracket threads were free from paint overspray. The fork is lightweight and seems nicely built. For a 6061 Aluminum frame it's surprisingly NOT a harsh ride. Handling feels neutral and it tracks nice and straight. Sizing seems pretty accurate (I got the 55cm).I've found most fixed gear frames and components are either real cheap and rather suspect, or more than I want to spend on a commuter bike. This frame fit the budget nicely and is just what I was hoping for.The specs don't mention component sizes, so if anyone is interested....Headset: 1-1/8"Seatpost: 31.6mmBottom Bracket: 68 x 103 (my chainline is perfect)

Excellent frameset
Excellent frameset for the price. Frame is light with nice workmanship and carbon fork (adds great styling to the frame) is strong. Tho the headset is not installed and is junk, it gives you the chance to upgrade right away. I completed my build with FSA Orbit Z headset, Thomson headstem, Thomson seat post, Thomson seat post clamp, Cinelli Pepper bar, Livery Design Gruppe crankset, Livery carbon bb, and H plus Son wheels, I couldn't have bought a better bike compared to prebuilds.I recommend this frameset for the cost and quality. Disregard the one star rating from people complaining about shipping damage, that's a courier issue, not State's problem.

Awesome frame!!
Excellent frame. Welds were perfect. Wasn't a scratch on it. Frame and fork is super light. I got the matte black one, put an FSA Orbit Z ceramic headset on it. It's super smooth and effortless to ride. Shipped in a decent time. I'm 5'11" and I got the 59cm one, it fits me perfectly. I absolutely love my bike.

Frame damaged and missing fork.
Frame was damaged (paint scratched at the top of the head tube) nothing major. The package I received (packaged by State bicycle) was missing the carbon fork and the headset was not pre-installed.

Best $300 I might have ever spent
Purchased in early 2016. Original order got lost in shipping but was quickly sent a replacement. Came shipped in a big box and all parts appeared to be wrapped and protected. However, there was a large gouge on the top portion of the head tube. It looks like the headset could have been pried off with a screwdriver or something like that. I ride my bicycles pretty hard so scratches are bound to happen; just a bummer that I wasn't the one to put it there. The included headset cups were not installed; no problem because I got a local shop to press the cups for me. I installed the rest of the other parts myself from my donor fixie. The frame is light and stiff. I was sceptical about the carbon forks but they are very stiff as well while being more forgiving on bumpy Calgary streets than the steel forks on my 90's road bike. I love the geometry of the frame. The short wheel base handles incredibly well and skids like a boss! I ride her 40km to work in the spring/summer when my body can't handle the beating of a steel frame any longer. Great purchase and I get a lot of looks and comments from people on how cool and "expensive" my fixie is. Might be the best $300 I have ever spent!

good quality and value
Relatively inexpensive single speed frame. Comes with headset and spacers. Bottom bracket machined well and dropouts are fine. The fork is nice and light but I used an existing carbon fork for now just to speed up build..will change over soon and will probably save another .5lbs. Built up with debranded aluminum components and fixie rear wheel and a road front. Better and much cheaper than a full state build. Final weight with heavy exustar pedals and brakes is 18lbs. Set up as 50 16 which is fine for mashing but not spinning...48 16 may be a better option for most but around here hills are bridges. Used a cheap debranded sram apex gxp crankset and just changed the chain rings for a proper chain line. Simple build even for a beginner..only issue was the headset..just get a shop to press it in...deep rims esthetically are nice...but the cheap ones are heavy and usually come with poor hubs.

Good upgrade from steel frame
After 2 months of ownership i would say its a great bike. the downside i encountered are it has missing crown race for the fork. and i have to use a file for the fork to fit the axle bolt for my wheels, carbon fork feels like its plastic. paint chips off easy, just after installing the chain it is scratching off the clear coat.i didn't have to cut the fork steer tube as it comes with 3 spacers and the stem works. after the build the bike just weighs 19lbs on the nose. over all i am pretty happy with it.
