Amazing Fry Pan …… no complaints
Amazing Fry Pan! Don’t hesitate to buy this product. It cooks on my flat top evenly and cleans up in a couple of minutes. I will be buying more of this product.

High quality induction fry pan.
This is a great pan. The pan is extremely non-stick. It works perfectly on our induction range indicating that the metals used are high quality. The pan heats quickly and evenly. It has good weight, yet is not too heavy. The handle fits both my and my wife’s hands comfortably. This is a high quality induction pan making it better than most.

No longer non-stick after less than a year : (
Initially very happy with this pan, but after less than a year the pan is no longer non-stick. Addressed my concerns to the manufacturer and was advised to clean the pan with a magic eraser. Was also advised "Regular Olive Oil is a better option as it has a higher smoke point. We also find that many consumers like clarified butter (Ghee), Refined Coconut Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Peanut Oil and some vegetable oils with high smoke points. We suggest avoiding Avocado oil as this oil can become sticky when heated. If you do choose to cook with Avocado oil, please keep the heat on low to medium." Like many other cooks, EVOO and avocado oil are the oils we like to cook with, but we did avoid them and we made sure to cook on medium heat. The pan didn't even last one omelet before it required cleaning again. It continued to require cleaning with the magic eraser after every use. This is poor performance from a pan that is supposed to be non-stick and easy to clean.

Healthy, Nonstick Skillet -- We LOVE this Pan!
My family absolutely loves this skillet! After years of using teflon-type nonstick pans, and all the chemicals that leached into our food from peeling coatings, we're finally free of that mess! The ceramic surface is so slick, and is just as if not more nonstick than Teflon. It cleans easily, is convenient to stick in the oven for cooking and reheating meals, and looks great in our kitchen. What a great choice for healthy and convenient cooking for a big family. The only negative is that it needs to be treated to remove crud that builds up over time (similar to but less maintenance than cast iron and carbon steel). To treat it, Greenpan recommends boiling water with baking soda in the pan, scrubbing it clean, and then using a product called the Magic Eraser for a final polish. After that, voila! the nonstick surface is restored. It's a bit of work, but easier than cast iron, or carbon steel, and better than teflon (which can't be restored). We loved it so much that we bought the Wok verson of this pan!

Works well but can fail after a surprisingly short time.
Works well for a time, but not true "ceramic". They can fail after a surprisingly short time. Mine was about 4 years of occasional use and gentle cleaning, a region of the surface failed suddenly after one cooking session. It now looks like stuck-on food and does not shed food while cooking in those areas. This happens when the surface coating begins to fail. Advice: No higher than medium heat on cooktop, NO oven, soft cooking utensils (silicon, plastics, etc.), gentle cleaning with basic dish soap, non-abrasive sponge and soft plastic scrubber. Do not use heavy pressure when cleaning. If food is difficult to remove, run some water over any remaining food bits and after a couple minutes you can gently scrub it off with hands, paper towel or soft plastic mesh scrubber (NOT the kind for pots/pans).

Rusty Bottom EDIT
When we received this pan two months ago, we noticed some rusty discoloration on the outside bottom of the pan. I assumed it was just discoloration but it has continued to spread. I have kept it dry, only washed it when absolutely necessary, and only handwashed it. The fact that the bottom is rusting so quickly in those conditions makes me wonder if the coating was compromised when we got it. I dont want it to ruin my induction stove top, and it also makes me concerned about the condition of the interior pan lining. I contacted Greenpan so we'll see if they rectify it. If so, I'll add additional info. The interior coating is wonderful, so far, and it is surprisingly light for a 12" ceramic. If it weren't for the rust issue I would be great. EDIT: I contacted GreenPan and after providing them a photo, they sent me a new pan immediately.

It's not non stick
I bought this pan because it was toxin free and non stick. The non stick lasted 2 weeks but I did not contact Customer Care within 30 days to complain. When I called them they asked me to email photos of product and purchase receipt. They then emailed to claim against Amazon who have a 30 day return policy so I'm outside 30 days. I'll just throw it out and put it down as another false claim as non stick.
