Eppicotispai Birchwood Pizza Peel (14.75" x 19.70")

High quality, nicely finished, worth a little more money than others that were similar. Comes from Italy. I like Italian food and fine craftsmanship.

Couldn't believe how easily we were able to slide the pizza from it onto the pizza stone! We followed the advice to rub it lightly with mineral oil before first use. Dusted it with flour and it worked perfectly.

I bought a pizza stone and wanted a pizza peel to make some home made pizza and move homemade bread into the oven. The peel is a really nice size and has an edge to slide on bread or pizza and move into and take out of the oven. I can't really comment on long term stability of this peel. It is made out of plywood rather than solid wood. Therefore, I would not want to soak it in water as plywood can delaminate over time. I wipe mine down with a damp cloth/sponge when needed and then immediately dry it with a clean kitchen towel. Then I leave it our to completely dry. But it does feel pretty solid and it was priced right.

For the price this thing is amazing. It slides the pizza on and off the stone so easily! As the title suggests it's a bit thin so if you're heavy handed or clumsy in the kitchen you might end up breaking it, so be careful.

Exactly as expected. Nice and large, sturdy, smooth without rough edges. The pizza sauce does stain the wood slightly but thats no problem. I use it mainly for transferring pizzas from a nonstick pan onto the peel and use my pizza cutter while the pizza is on the peel, therefore preventing scratching to the nonstick pan. The size is perfect for my pizzas made with store bought Boboli or similar crusts, leaving few inches of room around.

I bought the 23x50cm peel, found this by accident because the larger peels are the only ones featured usually. I use this for my breadmaking and it’s a perfect size! Most pizza peels are too large and the bread peels are too narrow. It’s not too deep so it slides under items well and yet it’s sturdy enough to carry some weight. Really pleased with this.

Not sure where to begin but this should not be used for food. Let’s start with the fact that it’s plywood with a birch veneer. It’s just under 1/4 inch thick and has no finish to it. The edges are exposed and has voids ( little holes ) in the plywood which will act like a sponge if you attempt to wash it. Over a short time this will cause the peel to delaminate, meaning the peel will peel and fall apart. If you wash this, it’s destined to fail. Second, almost all plywood is made with glue that has formaldehyde in it (not good). I can’t confirm this has formaldehyde in it but there isn’t any mention by the manufacturer that it’s made with food safe glue. Heat will cause the formaldehyde to melt and burn. You can smell it if it does. In what could be a great peel if it were made of solid wood, this falls way short of quality and food safety. Do yourself a favor, spend 5 dollars more and get a solid wood one. I just bought a similar size peel made of solid Acacia wood for 4 dollars more.

As others have said, this is fairly thin, plywood based so not the most sturdy peel I've owned. Should do the job for a short time at least. What I didn't like is the photos make the XL size look rectangular which is what I was looking for. When it arrived it is perfectly square on the actual peel, but with the short dimension. I thought I was shipped the wrong unit until I checked the model numbers. I wanted the full 19" dimension wide to make rectangular pies in my oven. So big disappointment there.

Inzwischen nutze ich acht dieser Bretter für die glutenfreie Pizzavorbereitung. Auf diesen Brettern wird die Pizza ausgebreitet und belegt. Wichtig, das Brett muss ausreichend bemehlt werden, damit der Teig nicht anklebt. Das diese Holzbretter nicht in einen Pizzaofen mit mehr als 400 Grad Celcius gehören, versteht sich von selbst. Von diesen Pizzabrettern lasse ich die Pizza auf den Metallschieber gleiten und von dort geht es in den Ofen. Aus dem Ofen geht es dann wieder auf das Pizzabrett zum Schneiden und von dort auf die Teller. Für die Fertigungsqualität gebe ich 5 Sterne *****

Maravilhosa, recomendo. Veio no tamanho certo. Na hora de fazer a compra os tamanhos disponíveis.
