Visconti Vintage-7 Veg Tan Brown Soft Leather Messenger Bag Case, One Size

This bag is as close to the perfect messenger as I will ever find. I'm a soon to be graduated college student and decided it was time to upgrade to a more professional look for laptop transportation. I spent months looking and comparing different bags, before deciding this was the one for me. The leather is beautiful and rich, far more so than depicted in the pictures. There are an enormous amount of pockets and zips for storage and you can find a place for any nick-knack. The bag feels sturdy, not overly so like a canvas bag, but I don't fret over it every second of use. The leather is not too thin, nor too thick and the stitching is superb. The size is also perfect. I'm 5'2 and a slender individual, but the bag doesn't look like it could eat me. It can also hold my 13' laptop, book, small notebook and kindle fire comfortably in the main compartment. My only minor complaint is the strap. It wasn't as sturdy as I was anticipating the polyester would make it, but I have no doubt it will uphold to my abuse. Also the shoulder pad is entirely unusable for me. Again 5'2. It looks a bit awkward, trapped down by the side of the strap, but for the rest of the bag I can live with it. Overall a fantastic purchase, more than worth the price.

I bought this to replace my old, worn out Kenneth Cole leather messenger bag and was quite surprised at this bag's superior quality of leather, hardware and workmanship. There are numerous zippered interior pockets (diminutive but ample for my needs - pocketbook, billfold, leather gloves, notepad, sunglasses case, keys, etc.) and the phone/pda pocket is perfectly sized for my iPhone, however those with larger phones or notepads will find it too small to fit them. While there is no carry handle I simply shortened the shoulder strap and use it to grab the bag in a hurry. The only defect in the bag's design is that the shoulder pad is located on a part of the strap where, if you shorten the strap significantly, it is impossible to re-position the pad to the middle of the strap where it could actually function as a shoulder pad between your shoulder and the strap, so it's basically useless. The leather is high quality and very attractive, as is the brass hardware and even the stitching. Overall a fantastic value for the money, and frankly is worth more than its price.

Just received this messenger bag, and am amazed by the quality at this low price. The leather is soft, with a broken in look that is very appealing. There's plenty of room, will fit a 13" laptop (my macbook fits well, but without a protective sleeve), and has plenty of pockets for papers. All in all, a great buy-recommended.

My colleague came into work one morning with this messenger bag and I HAD TO HAVE IT. This bag is gorgeous. The leather is of beautiful quality and it is fantastically made. And the pockets... so many interior pockets! The only thing preventing me from giving this bag five stars is the shoulder pad thingy on the strap. It doesn't adjust properly with the rest of the bag, so you can only lengthen and shorten the bag so much and still wear it comfortably, there is a "zone" that you have to stay in. I've carried this bag loaded with my make-up bag, change of heels, and a few snacks.. and was able to organize my car keys, cell phone and other hair goodies easily. This bag is fantastic, the beautiful reddish brown leather is perfect for a female to carry and I quite frequently get tons of compliments on my bag when I ride the metro. Great bag.. that I know will wear amazingly well over time, I can't wait for it to get more distressed looking. GREAT BAG. don't hesitate if it's on sale! Buy it!

The strap is not detachable; and the shoulder pad is not usable even for a 6' tall person after adjusting the strap; This is the main disadvantage of this bag. The number of pockets are many but again usable pockets are few. Cell phone pouch is a joke. All the pockets are designed to hold paper or paper thin flat objects. The look is great; Hardware is nice. I have no idea what type of Leather is it. It is NOT mentioned even in the packing or tags; I was hoping for cowhide leather but I do not think it is cowhide. This is a good looking bag, but not something that will last for a long time (15 years+) with average to rough (man) use.

Absolutely Gorgeous Bag. Pros: Go into any Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom, and a bag like this would cost at least $600. Not to mention most high quality bags these days are quite flamboyant, while this is subdued, classy, and handsome. Most messenger bags these days don't even have a leather strap, so that touch is nice. Size wise, it's perfect for my 13 in. macbook pro, tablet, and maybe a few files. Theres plenty of compartments for odds and ends like pens, business cards, etc. I wouldn't overstuff the bag, since that would defeat the point of a sleek size like this. If you're an old school traveler (Dads out there, I'm looking at you) and you need to haul your whole desk in a bag, then go with something bigger like the Samsonite. Cons: Only 2 cons... 1) I wish this bag had a handle for quick grabbing (but that's the messenger bag thing I guess) and 2) This bag is more red hued than the photo lets on. At first I didn't like how red the leather was, as my taste is quite conservative, but it grows on you. It also darkens over time. After walking Michigan Avenue in Chicago and hitting every store, I can safely say this is by far the best bag on the market for the price. The quality of the leather is superior to even the usual suspects like Cole Haan. So, if you're on the fence, just do it. You will be pleased. My first trip on a plane and an Italian gentlemen next to me asked me all about my bag, where I got it, and how beautiful it was. Enough said.

Bought this for my husband, and he LOVES it! He's 6'7" and the strap extends to 59", perfect for him. The leather is rich and beautiful, definitely high-quality, and he's had lots of compliments on it from coworkers. We rubbed it down so it wouldn't leave any colouring on his lighter coloured shirts, but no colour came off of it. My husband's been wearing it for weeks now with no colour transfer, so the leather is well-sealed.

Love the bag. I used it with a sturdy Dell Latitude laptop and I don't throw the bag around so I have no concerns of it breaking as some reviewers had me worried about when they said no cushion or inner shell. I actually prefer it that way as it keeps it lighter and gives you more space than half an inch of padding all around. I really love this bag and it looks great for anyone in business who cares. As some reviewers noted, it does nick and scratch easily. I was hoping for more of a pashmina style wear to it but from the small nicks I've seen it's more of a "chunk" or mini hole in the leather. There's not a ton. so my hope is they all blend and look like classy wear over time. But that will be what decides the longterm value of this bag - whether it looks roughed up in a year or nicely broken in. Only time will tell but 5 stars if it's nice and 3 if its not!
