MAKE UP FOR EVER Step 1 Skin Equalizer (1 Mattifying Primer)

This is the best primer I’ve ever used! Doesn’t make my face look cakey and my makeup stays perfect all day. Normally struggle with oily skin, but that isn’t an issue with this product.

If you have oily skin, or want to keep your foundation from going anywhere, this is the product! I typically don't notice that I've got oily skin, but Make Up Forever changed their formulation on 1 of their foundations, and I looked like I had an oil slick on my face. Before dumping the foubdation completely, I decided to try this, and it works! A little goes a long way, and my foundation is staying put! I've also used it under some foundations that are meant to give you more of a "healthy glow", in places that I tend to get a bit too shiny throughout day& I've been happy.

I originally saw this recommended by Laura Leth on a YouTube makeup tutorial. She swore by it and even though it is a bit on the pricey side I decided to try it. The first day I put it on I noticed that I needed very little (compared to my standby Smashbox face primer). I applied it and then put on my foundation. Not only did it go on extremely smooth and even but after working for 10 hours plus and additional 2 in traffic and a half hour drum lesson...there was no shine from oil on my face. My foundation looked fantastic and like I had just applied it. This stuff is phenomenal! I'm just irritated that I bought an additional tube of the Smashbox because I was so apprehensive about this primer. Anyway I give it a strong thumbs up and I know you will love it! I have used this daily for years, this is my favorite primer, I usually get from Sophora but I happen to be in dire need and the was gonna take long. It literally cost the same at Sophora.

Hated it! It doesn't work well with foundation over it. It doesn't leave a good texture on the skin. I deeply regret buying it because it is expensive.

This is the BEST clear MATT facial cover I have ever used. Covers up scaly skin and mattes it down smoothly. Only issue I have is, it only stays matted for about 3 hours.

I love this primer, however, please make sure you check the SIZE of the unit before you order it. I paid $37.50 for the sample size which is $17.50 at Ulta and Sephora. $37.50 is usually the cost of the larger size, which I have ordered on amazon before. I requested a return and in the end my boyfriend accidentally threw the UPS package away, so I can't return the product. But check the size.. and make sure it is correct. I feel stupid paying that much for so little product.

I have been using this primer for around a year after seeing some You Tube videos on its performance for oily skin. Well worth it. It is the only primer that keeps me oil free for hours. If you have oily skin, try this.

Poor quality. Made my face very sore, no offer of a refund or replacement ,would not buy from this company again.
