It DOES work - you just need to read the directions carefully! ;)
For all the reviewers who are saying that this product doesn't work, I don't think you all understood the manufacturer's instructions. I have used other henna products before and some of them do not require the overnight soak in the Black tea/lemon juice. However, this product DOES require sitting overnight. The part that people are getting wrong is the fact that you do not leave it on your *hair* overnight. You have to put the henna powder in a bowl, preferably one that is not made out of metal, and then you can add in your spices like cinnamon or cloves to make it less stinky. And then you need to boil some water and make a batch of black tea in a separate container. (e.g. a teapot) and make it extremely strong. Like use five or six teaspoons of black tea and only brew about two cups of water and let that sit for a couple hours until it comes to room temperature, then remove your tea ball or bag. At that point, you can mix all of the ingredients together in a plastic bowl. So put the henna powder, the room temperature black tea, lemon juice, whatever spices you want, etc. And stir stir stir. Then you're going to cover that bowl with plastic wrap and leave that on your kitchen counter overnight!! Do not apply it to your hair yet! The tannins and acid need to work their magic on the henna to release the dye molecule. I realize that not all henna products require this level of preparation, but this particular one does. The next day you can take the Saran wrap off the bowl and begin applying the henna to clean dry hair. Then Saran wrap your entire head and leave it on for a while. I try to wait until the weekend when I have plenty of time to sit around reading a book or taking a bath. So for instance, I'll prepare the henna mixture on a Friday afternoon and then let it sit overnight on the counter until Saturday afternoon and that's when I'll do the application on my hair. I'll try to leave that in for a few hours. You really only need an hour or two but for a deeper richer color try to leave it for 3 to 4 hours if you can. At this point you could also leave it on your head overnight, but I really just don't trust any manner of Saran wrap and towels to prevent the stuff from leaking out onto my pillowcase at night. Moreover, you really don't need to go that long. Really just a few hours is enough. Anyways, I could see how some of their old instructions might have been confusing because I did read some of the pictures that other customers posted and I think that the company that makes this products could have worded their original instructions better, which is probably what led to so much confusion. Anyways, I hope this review can help somebody who is interested in this product because honestly this is the best henna product I have used so far. I used to use another very popular brand that is sold in most major shopping malls and online, but they changed their formula after decades of having the same great formula and the new one is just completely terrible and does not yield a bright red henna like this one does. So I will be using this brand's product for the foreseeable future.

Henna Happy!
I’m allergic to most box dyes. Every time I used a dye of any brand, my head will break out in a horrible rash. I have been using Morocco Method Henna for the last 5 years and I absolutely love it! It’s easy to apply, it’s gentle on my scalp and hair, covers all my grey and moreover, it doesn’t contain any harmful chemicals! The only drawback I have of this natural alternative, is the time for the dye to release after mixing and the time for it to develop on your hair is lengthy. But the good definitely outweighs the disadvantages. I get so many many compliments on the color, and how soft, beautiful and shiny it always is! What can I say, I’m Henna Happy Happy!

DOESN’T WORK! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
Let’s start with the directions and how EXTENSIVE the process is BEFORE you even put it in let alone how long (8-12 HOURS) letting it sit in your hair. I did the 8 hrs, let’s note, my hair is NOT any tone or shade of red afterwards, NOR did it cover any of my glitter (grey hair). My crown (top of head) was sore and hurting afterwards, my hair overall is black. My hair is naturally dark brown this just darkened it. Which isn’t terrible BUT don’t advertise RED when it’s completely the opposite color. Did this before a healing ceremony I have in LA this weekend in hopes I’d be going up with some red streaks at least but NOPE. Instead had it in for hrs, the smell made me nauseous finally time to rinse it out then felt even worse after, like my energy was just wiped and shut down. Definitely don’t think it’s good to have anything heavy on your crown that long smh. Such a disappointment. NEVER AGAIN.

Both product quality and customer service have gone downhill
Hi, just a quick word of caution for everyone who used to buy these products and was a longterm customer. Something has changed in this company. Their management or something and the way things are being run is absolutely horrible. The henna dye quantity has been reduced and the prices have exponentially jumped up from $16 to $21. Everything else now costs $4-$5 more. They are also advertising free shipping above $79 is free and so if you order products worth that much or more, but apply a discount code, they don't offer the free shipping anymore. That is not the least of their issues. Their customer service is now run by a one woman team who calls herself their manager- Megan/MR, who is super rude and condescending. Previously, customer service reps here used to polite and nice and were always willing to listen to the customer. More often than not, they offered some concession or the other. Now, Megan runs the show, and if you ask to speak to a supervisor or someone else, she will block you and stop responding. No matter how many times you call, email etc, Megan is the one who will see it and choose to either respond really rudely or not respond at all.I finally called from a different number today and she picked up and said she is the manager there and only people above her are the president and the owner, but she won't transfer me to them. She also said her answer is no, she won't help me, and I'm welcome to take my business elsewhere. As a result, I'm literally going to do that!!!I thought I supporting a wholesome, positive small business all these years that valued it's long time, loyal customers, but this experience has soured things for me permanently.Megan also said she understands they are going to lose long time customers with their new practices, but that's the cost of business!!! Can you believe the audacity of this lady?!Okay well, Ms. President or Mr. Owner if you are reading this, these are terrible business practices- cutting costs by compromising product quality and alienating your customer base with terrible customer service. For me, it's not about the discount anymore, it's about highlighting to others to stay away from this company and it's products. Just check their employee reviews on indeed and Glassdoor. It's also a super toxic place to work and literally everyone has complained about bad managers. I do not support a company that treats its employees and customers like crap.
