Let me end the confusion,

This game is called Adventures of Lolo. This game is a Lolo game but it is not the same as the US release. This game has different stages, higher difficulty, and absolutely no WALKTHROUGHS. This game is for the Famicom not the NES so you need an Famicom adapter or a Famicom to play. So with that aside let's get to the review shall we?The gameplay. If you are reading this you are probably a fan of the series on the NES and are beginning to look into the more obscure games in this series. So I don't need to tell you that this is an overhead unique puzzle game. That aside I have one warning for you that involves the gameplay. This game is hard. Difficult, challenging, and frustrating. Sure Adventures of Lolo 2-3 were pretty hard. But this is MSX level. (The MSX is a Japanese computer that the first Lolo games were released on. On the MSX and Famicom Disk System Lolo was called Eggerland, and those games were extremely difficult making the US releases look like Candyland.) This game has some real brain boiling puzzles. But with a twist. This version has some speed levels. What are those? Those are levels were once Lolo starts walking in order to solve the puzzle he cant stop. To be honest if you haven't beaten (not played) beaten all three US releases don't buy this.Notes about this game: The passwords use the Latin alphabet. Which was a worry of mine when buying this because I didn't know if I would have to write down Japanese. ( You don't). The cover art for this game is awesome looking. If there is an Adventures of Lolo Famicom poster. I would buy it in a heartbeat. (Sadly they didn't post the picture on this site. Oh well)Lack of walkthroughs or guides. Said simply, you are on your own playing this. Which is just a minor complaint. I mean MAYBE there's a Japanese Nintendo power issue that had level guides for this but good like finding it.Pro levels: Same as Adventures of Lolo 2, the passwords are ProA, ProB, ProC, and ProD.Buy if,You are a DIE HARD fan of the series,Love a good challenge,Don't buy if,You don't have a Famicom-Famicom adapter,You relied heavily on walkthroughs on the first three,Hate repeating music... That's my one complaint about this entire series.LOLO SCALE from best to worst: Adventures of Lolo 2, Adventures of Lolo 3, Adventures of Lolo JP, Adventures of Lolo. I haven't played the others yet.
