I absolutely LOVE these hoops! They're by far the sturdiest hoops I've used. Once the fabric is in place, pulled, and screw is tightened, the fabric won't budge at all no matter how hard you pull. It's been perfect for my more detailed pieces, as it allows for better tracing of designs without it getting warped from pull the fabric. Only complaint is that the fabric space on the inner hoop is 1/4 an inch less than 4 inches as pictured. But overall they're the only hoops I'll be using from now on!

These are absolutely great quality. I buy a lot of these around Christmas and make ornaments. JoAnns, Micheals, and Walmart’s quality do not compare. I also love how easy it is to take the sticker tag off. Some hoops from other brands want to leave residue but not these. I always get tons of compliments on my work and I know it is partially from the hoops.

After hand sewing over 40 memorial hearts several times after the loss of a family member, I found these and used my brother’s flannels and dress shirts and buttons to make his memorials quickly as his death was unexpected. Some material was thinner, so the tightening was easier on those. Some were definitely more tricky. Overall worth it.

For the record, this is the product I ordered and received: Similane 12 Pieces 6 Inch Embroidery Hoops Bamboo Circle I ordered these to use as frames for hanging my finished embroidery pieces. I just wanted an inexpensive frame that still looked nice enough to hang. These fit that bill. The hoops look nice, are plenty sturdy, and the ones I got did not have the blue film over the screw. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure these would make decent embroidery hoops!! I won't use them for that as I have hoops that I use for the actual embroidery, but I will probably throw at least one in my embroidery "go bag" just in case I have to grab it and go!! (I try to keep a piece of simple embroidery in a bag with inexpensive notions so that if I have to go make an emergency trip anywhere I can grab that bag, have something to do with my hands while waiting out whatever emergency, but also not lose too much sleep if the bag gets lost, destroyed, or just left behind! I also try to keep a few extra inexpensive supplies in the bag in case I meet up with someone who wasn't thinking ahead and needs something to work with I can supply them!!) Anyway, I thought these were an excellent value and a really decent product for the money!

I used these for making christmas ornaments. They were good quality and held the fabric well to make the ornaments.

I agonized over purchasing wooden hoops which I use to as a frame for my embroidered gifts. Reviews are difficult to navigate, because they seem to show up for more than one "brand" or option. To be clear, I ordered Similane 6" hoops. First, they arrived in one day. Second, each and every one was perfectly shaped and no splinters. Third, there was no "blue" thing that everyone seemed to be talking about. In short, I am very pleased with these hoops to display my handcrafts for sale. I am sure I will be reordering these soon.

I used these to make ornaments out of my grandpas old shirts for my family for Christmas. This year was our second Christmas without him. They were a big hit and fit perfectly on the tree branches with the metal attachment.

Great condition

ordered the 6inch, got 4inch... one had some rust look on it, and all had this blue plastic on them, very annoying to get off.. not even sure if i would order again, i was very excited about getting them in bulk, as it is very difficult to get them in bulk, thought if they looked worth the price i was going to order again, but getting the wrong size has made me really annoyed.
