Hello, will this work with my elitebook 840 g6? i note the spec says 830 and 850 but not 840. please confirm.

It should work with any device which has a USB 3.1 Type C socket. I use it with an HP Envy x369 13", a Surface Go, and a MacBook Pro 15" with no problems.
