Matrix M1 1.5" Phatty Tie Down is a premium tie-down set with top soft loop hook, bottom swivel carabineer and name plate for custom graphics. Overall length is 69 inch x 1.5 inch (wide), made from abrasion resistant nylon webbing. All stitching is double stitched with square/cross with heavy-duty nylon thread. Top soft loop extension with rubber coated S hook incorporated into design that protects your handlebars. Assembly strength is 1400 pounds and a 500 pound load limit. Custom spring-loaded lock-on swivel carabineer bottom hook for secure connection. Custom sublimated non fade graphics in factory colors. Exclusive slider name plate to give your tie downs a personalized custom factory look. Heavy-duty steel cam-lock with heavy-duty steel spring for a secure lock. With over 30 months invested in product development, design, testing and input from some of the top riders and mechanics in the world of off road motorcycling including MX legend Bob Hannah, Chadd Cole, Cameron Cole, Brady Sheren, Arnold Taylor and Brad McLean are proud to introduce the Matrix Concepts line for 2010. Super phat and very strong. The attached soft tie down loop is easy to use, strong, and definitely necessary with aluminum handlebars. The real gem is the swivel caribeaner. No more twisting the tie down and reattaching it over and over again. I've used my new tie downs only once, but can't believe I waited this long to purchase them.

Would absolutely recommend these to anyone who is tired of the hooks of ratchet straps not fitting their handlebars!! These saved us a ton of time when loading multiple bikes!

Worth it for swivel and tag end retainer.
Really great system. SOOO much better than straight hook straps with no swivel carabiner. Clip on the carabiner and you can swivel how ever is necessary...and it doesn't fall out of the trailer tie-down hole! Plus, ingenious tag end strap retainer, so no more tying up the loose end of the strap so it doesn't flap around. Super simple. Well worth the extra few bucks. Only downside (and why I gave it 4 stars, even though probably should be 5...but maybe Matrix is looking) is that the release is hard to depress when under load. That is great, because I know it is super secure, but takes a bit of force to open, and you can't really 'slip' it to let the fork extend slowly, rather it 'pops' a bunch of slack. I would imagine if the release lever was a little longer and you had a little more leverage it would fix that??

Display picture not accurate
The black model doesn’t have a red soft strap portion. Pretty disappointing. Need to fix the display picture. Would have ordered a color if I knew it was just black on black.

Nice tie-downs. A lite thin though. I expected a little more weight to the straps.the work well holding my dirt bike down.
