Summer Splash Learning Activities, Grades 2 - 3

This is the second year that my son will be using the Summer Splash series.The booklet covers English (language art & Reading comprehension) and Math. There are 10 weekly lessons (15 minutes a day). The lessons and practice activities are to the point and in line with what the child has already learn during the year. It does not retake the whole 2nd grade from the beginning but from where it left before the summer vacation.The book's size (8.7 x 5.9 x 0.3 inches ) is very convenient as it fits in a medium size purse. Summer splash uses a smaller font size and leave a lot less empty space on each pages in comparison to other summer books of its kind, which explains its smaller size.Thus a good quality well structured summer booklet that you and your child will enjoy at home, on vacation, in the car or while waiting for food at the restaurant.

This is a great small little workbook for review. I have kept it in the car to work on, and my daughter has enjoyed working in it. The activities are engaging and short enough to not elicit too many eye rolls. It is also appropriate to prepare for 3rd grade with math and reading appropriate for this age range.
