Bang for buck
Iโve been genuinely impressed with Amazon Basics AA and AAA batteries. They deliver consistently strong, reliable power across everything Iโve used them in โ from TV remotes and wireless keyboards to game controllers, smart home sensors, and kidsโ toys. Performance has been comparable to far more expensive branded batteries, with no noticeable drop-off in power or premature failures. What really stands out is their reliability over time. They hold charge well in low-drain devices, donโt leak, and feel dependable even when left installed for months. For everyday household use, they simply work exactly as youโd expect a good battery to work โ no fuss, no surprises. The value proposition is exceptional. You get dependable performance at a price that makes sense, especially if you go through batteries regularly. Theyโre ideal for bulk buying without feeling like youโre compromising on quality.Overall, these are batteries you can buy with confidence. Practical, reliable, and excellent value โ Amazon Basics AA and AAA batteries have become my default choice and I see no reason to switch back to more expensive alternatives.

Amazon Basics 12-Pack Rechargeable AA NiMH High-Capacity Batteries, 2400 mAh, 1.2V, Recharge
I decided to switch properly to rechargeable batteries after realising how many disposables we were getting through every year. Between Xbox controllers, remotes, wireless mouse, childrenโs toys and the odd torch during power cuts, it was adding up. I went for this 12-pack of Amazon Basics 2400 mAh AAs because the price per battery was very reasonable, especially compared to big-name brands. The fact they arrive pre-charged is genuinely useful. I was able to put them straight into a controller and a bedside lamp without waiting around for a full charge first. That convenience makes a difference. In terms of compatibility, theyโve worked perfectly in everything Iโve tried โ standard AA sizing means they slot straight into controllers, torches, fairy lights, clocks and cameras without any fitting issues. They sit snugly in the battery compartments and make proper contact first time.Performance has been consistently strong. In higher-drain devices like game controllers and LED torches, they hold up well. Brightness in torches and battery-powered lights has been steady and comparable to good disposable batteries โ no dim, weak glow or early fade. Even as they start to run lower, the power output feels stable rather than dropping off suddenly. The 2400 mAh capacity is noticeable. They last longer than older rechargeables Iโve owned, especially in devices that get regular use. They also hold charge well when sitting unused. Iโve had a few stored for a couple of weeks and they still had plenty of power left.As for weight, they feel solid but not overly heavy. In hand they have that reassuring density youโd expect from a decent rechargeable battery, but they donโt make controllers or smaller devices feel bulky or unbalanced.Long term, the value is where these really make sense. Being able to recharge them hundreds of times will easily outweigh the initial cost, and itโs far better than constantly throwing away single-use batteries.Overall, reliable, widely compatible, steady brightness output and excellent value for money. These have become my default choice and I wouldnโt go back to disposables now.

A Little Pricey but a Quality Battery Set
The Amazon Basics 16 Pack Rechargeable AA NiMH High Capacity Batteries, 2400 mAh, have been a dependable choice for us so far.In terms of performance, they have done exactly what we need them to do. They arrived pre charged, charged up again without issue, and have successfully held their charge through repeated use. We have recharged them many times, and they continue to perform consistently. For everyday household devices like remotes, wireless accessories, and small electronics, they have been reliable and durable.Compared to many other well known brands, the pricing is better. Right now, this set works out to roughly 1 โฌ per battery, which is not unreasonable for 2400 mAh rechargeables. I still feel they sit about 15 to 20 percent higher than they ideally should. Sustainable products often appeal to people who care about reducing waste, though the upfront cost can be a real barrier for many households. More competitive pricing would make it easier for families to justify switching from disposable batteries, even if the long term savings are clear.Build quality feels solid, and we have not experienced early failures or noticeable degradation beyond what you would normally expect over time. The 2400 mAh capacity is strong for higher drain devices, and they have handled regular use well.Overall, these are dependable rechargeable batteries that perform as advertised. With slightly sharper pricing, they would be an even stronger value. As it stands, I would still buy them again if needed.

Reliable, Long-Lasting Batteries โ Iโve Ordered These Multiple Times
These Amazon Basics rechargeable AA batteries are excellent. Iโve ordered them multiple times now, and theyโve been consistently reliable every time. The 2400 mAh capacity lasts a long time, whether Iโm using them in controllers, toys, cameras, or household devices, and they hold their charge well between uses. They recharge quickly, perform just as well as more expensive brands, and have saved me a lot of money over time. I also appreciate the convenience of the 16-pack โ itโs great to always have spares ready to go.Overall, these are dependable, high-quality rechargeable batteries at a great price. Iโll definitely continue reordering them and highly recommend them to anyone looking for long-lasting rechargeables.

Longโlasting rechargeable batteries that save money and waste
These Amazon Basics rechargeable AA batteries are excellent quality and great value for the pack size. They come preโcharged and ready to use straight out of the box, which is really convenient. Iโve used them in remote controls, wireless keyboards, LED lights, and kidsโ toys, and they hold their charge impressively well. The high capacity gives strong, consistent performance, and they recharge quickly using a standard NiMH charger. Iโve already recharged some multiple times with no drop in power. Theyโre a solid, ecoโfriendly alternative to disposable batteries and help cut waste and costs over time.If you go through a lot of AA batteries, this 12โpack is a brilliant investmentโreliable, efficient, and built to last through hundreds of charge cycles.

Excellent batteries with accurate capacity claims
These are a great alternative to single use batteries. We have quite a few strings of LED lights that use AA batteries. Whilst you can get some good deals on decent single use batteries these days the cost does add up if you use a lot of them. I used these straight out of the box and they were fine with the LED's on full brightness. I was impressed to find that they lasted about the same time as good (although not top) quality single use cells. When the lights were dim but not dead I charged the battery's and checked the charge level when they were finished. All of the 6 batteries (of 24) I have charged so far gave around about the 2320mAH mark. As the batteries were not dead this leads me to think the claimed capacity of 2400 is accurate and seems consistent across the 6 I have charged so far. I'm pretty impressed by this, to be honest. I have used the Amazon basics range a fair bit and find it offers good batteries of great value. There are loads of brands of these and some do appear to offer greater capacity. However I now know these to be of the capacity claimed and will definitely buy again. Interestingly these are only about twice the price as my last pack of branded single use cells so the math's is pretty clear.

I give up - no good for my use
I have a wiser home system where every radiator TRV is individually programmable by app. Excellent product, saving many ยฃยฃยฃ's on heating. They each individually monitor room temperature and if it drops below the setting allocated, open the valve via a small motor. I could go on about the schedules etc.... this is not a Wiser product review. The thing is each of the 12 units takes two AA's. A "Normal" AA lasts about a year before needing to be replaced. However, wanting to ramp up the eco benefit I did a lot of research and finally landed on this Amazon rechargeable.I'm very disappointed that a fully charged set registers only 20%-40% when put in the device and then needs changing in about a month. The hassle of regular change and seeing the red blinking lights around the house is very triggering. Additionally, leaving the house empty in winter for weeks is now an excessive stress.I guess the 1.2v rating is just not good enough for these devices expecting 1.5v. I'm sure these rechargeable batteries are good for other purposes, but not this purpose. As a result, I'm having to buy a large pack of disposables to rectify the matter.Lesson learned, money wasted due to length of time from purchase. Very disappointed.

A Very, Very Good Rechargeable Battery ..
A good bit of time has passed to evaluate these batteries in my ROKU 3 (also purchased on Amazon). In the past, I've noted with alkaline batteries in the ROKU that one battery ALWAYS depletes before the other, usually by 1/4 volt. Having seen that issue several times, usually having had to replace only one of the two batteries, I'm concluding the ROKU remote keeps is continuously connected to the ROKU as long as the ROKU is turned on. This would explain why one battery frequently requires replacing. I have noted this phenomenon with two different ROKU remotes.I don't know who makes these batteries but they are very high quality. Also noted is they are about 25% heavier than the Everedy rechargeables at your local retailer. My weight scale is not digital but is still good enough to discern a difference in marking. These batteries (yes I can test voltage) seem to have significant density and hold a charge quite well for an extended period of time. The discharge time for batteries (battery) in the ROKU is over two months. Also, if I remember correctly, a fresh charge will loose only about 40% of it's charge over the course of a year.Battery technology is constantly changing (see batteryuniversity.com for a true education). To that end, these batteries far surpass the junk sold in retail stores. I've not found a 2400 mAh NiMh anywhere at the pricepoint offered by Amazon. Also, please be advised that most rechargeable batteries do NOT (performance-based) match up to their mAh rating. So I'm not sure how these little guys rate, but I can say ... for the price point they outperform the smaller charge-capacity types found in the average retail establishment selling 1400 to 2300 (rare) rechargeables. In my opinion, they are almost worthless as they need constant recharging. These batteries are new-generation batteries and users will appreciate having them. A couple of additional notes: new generation NiMh rechargeables should not be fully discharged or anywhere close to that. The battery lifetime cycle can be extended greatly by recharging only after about half-use; there is no battery memory problem. The newer NiMh batteries are more subject to "stress" so deep discharge shortens their life. Same for cell phones .. don't deep discharge the battery. The battery lasts longer if you recharge after one or two bars.So anyway, these are really good rechargeables at the price point. I can't imagine better unless you want to put 8 or 10 hours into customer reviews and scouring best prices. Better to go for Kentucky Fried Chicken and a half bottle of Chardonnay with your wife out by the stream on a soft Autumn afternoon. Yes? And don't forget the music powered by the batteries that don't fail, even if you forgot to recharge them. :-)
