Haynes Triumph Tiger 800 '10 to '19

Book was a gift for a relative and was well received by a new to biking slightly older person.

A very necessary thing when you have a Tiger.

Handy little book saves £££

I've always used Haynes manual for as long as I can remember. They used to be hardback but the newer versions are paperback. Yes the paper is a little thin, but not as bad as I was lead to believe. Due to a serious electrical fault, my bike is off the road. It's taken around 10 days of fault finding to pinpoint the clocks have fried inside due to a duff rectifier. There was no way I could have taken the bike apart to the level required to get the testing done without this manual. Worth every penny.

Having used many a Haynes manual in the past, this time some detail is missing. There are gaps in instructions and picture (example fig.8b etc.) don’t always relate to text. No chart for valve shim adjustment like on other Haynes manuals, just gives you the formula to work it out. Any task which requires specialist tools, it skims over task I.e. bleeding abs pump!

Always good to have a Haynes manual.

I picked up a Triumph 800 XCA as my second bike and really needed a resource to build a baseline knowledge of this engine. I found reading it elevated my basic knowledge and made me a better gauge of the quality and usefulness of YouTube resources.
