Great option for x4 10Gbps
Works fine in an x4 slot. Chipset is ubiquitous, well supported in Linux

Ok I guess
I had a Connect-X 3 in my PC but when I would run AI on my graphics card it would disconnect repeatedly. Swapping out the card didn't help. This card is not giving me that issue but it is an x8 card and my slot is x4 so I believe I am only getting half speed. Better to get half speed and no disconnects though. The Connect-X 3 cards install automatically with Windows 10, but this Intel card required me to download the driver. That isn't a big deal but definitely nice to have a card that works out of the box.

Works smoothly on a old Dell R710 server
Works smoothly on a old Dell R710 server. Customer needs know that not all SPF+ adaptors work with Intel NIC. You need SFP+ made for Intel NIC

Works perfectly in truenas
Worked right out of the box in TreuNAS

SFP Locked
This card only works with approved Intel SFPs, and the xl710-unlocker utility doesn't work to remove the restriction.

Upgrade to 10G and transfer some files.
I grabbed this network card because I wanted faster access to my network and itโs been great so far. Itโs built around the Intel X710 chip, It's been rock-solid in performance with super fast file transfers. The dual SFP+ ports are a nice bonus also as they work with 100 Mb, 1 Gb, and 10 Gb connections, so itโs easy to hook up to pretty much any network gear I have. Setup couldnโt have been easier. I popped it into my PCIe slot, booted up, and my system recognized it right away. On my VMware ESXi 6.7 rig, it was literally plug-and-play. No extra drivers, no weird compatibility headaches. That said, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. The heatsink is held on with plastic pins instead of metal ones, which feels a bit weird. Also, it runs a little warm under load, sitting around 103ยฐF. Decent airflow in your case is going to be importan. Maybe add a small fan if youโre pushing it hard. Oh also, it comes with a sff bracket which is a nice bonus. Runs in a PCIe 3.0x8 slot so double check your MB compatibility. To recap: Crazy fast, stable speeds (Intel chip really makes a difference) Dual SFP+ ports mean it works in lots of setups Installs in minutes, no drama Perfect for big file transfers, media work, or home lab setups What could be better: Plastic pins on the heatsink arenโt my favorite Runs warm, so keep your cooling in check The jump to 10Gb networking is worth it. The trick is to get there without spending a fortune or wrestling with your setup. This card makes it pretty easy. Just treat those plastic pins gently and keep it cool, and itโll run like a champ.

Enterprise-class quad SFP+ server card that installs effortlessly and has rock solid driver support
I love this Intel X710-DA4 quad 10 gig server card from Vogzone! Build quality is excellent and the packaging includes a plastic clamshell that protects your card right up to the moment of installation. This card can be installed with either screw-based slot mounting or tool-less chassis alike. Installation was effortless and it worked flawlessly in every test I threw at it, including iperf tests that show full line rate throughput on all ports. Like any of a thousand other Intel-based cards I've used over the years this offering from Vogzone provides enterprise-class PCIe hardware using a chipset that (in my opinion) rivals anything ever released by 3Com, Realtek, Broadcom or Mellanox. Installing in a fully updated 2026 Windows test machine this card shows up in Device Manager as "Intel(R) Ethernet Converged Network Adapter X710" with the second, third and fourth ports adding the "-2", "-3" and "-4" labels respectively. The best thing about this card is the staggering amount of configurable options under the advanced properties tab that lets you do virtually ANYTHING you want for an enterprise-class network. QoS, VLANs, frame sizing, TCP checksum offloading... on and on. The 1.10.128.0 driver Windows Update installs is quite old, but that's a good thing - it has been relentlessly used and hardened through years of 24/7 usage in datacenters all over the world so performance and stability are absolutely guaranteed. Highly recommended as a cost-effective enterprise-class NIC.

I love this Intel X710-DA2 10 gig server card from Vogzone! This card can be installed with either screw-based slot mounting or tool-less chassis alike. Best option for PCIE 10 gig for a truenas setup
Works out of the box with my 12 year old intel workstation motherboard, with a truenas setup. Negotiates nicely with my 10gig sfp+ zyxel switch. Options in India are very expensive online, this was still reasonable compared to everything else out there.

Great 10gigE NIC
It's nice to see enterprise grade gear trickle down to the consumer market. While not a new NIC, the 10gig speeds are very fast and is a huge upgrade from the usual gigabit-2.5gigE NIC that comes with most motherboards. The card was plug and play with Windows installing the drivers automatically, and the link speed immediately shows 10gbps-- nice. No problems with reliability in the >2 weeks I've used the card. It's so nice to be able to max out my 1.5Gbit internet with torrents while also copying files locally to two other PCs at 2.5Gbit each, and still have bandwidth to spare.

Manual driver install required on Windows 11 Pro. Works with 10Gtek SFP.
This required manual installation of the driver on Windows 11 Pro. Download it from Intel's website by searching "intel x710-da4" and get the "Intel Ethernet Adapter Complete Driver Pack" (Jun 15, 2025 at the time of this review). If you're installing a quad 10GB fiber ethernet card, you probably know what to do from there on. Another reviewer had reported that the device would only work with "approved Intel SFPs". I had no problem using it with a 10Gtek device. Works as expected... it's Intel, so why wouldn't it.
