Works beautifully
I had another product previous to this one and it didn't work very well this one worked immediately without having to install any drivers whatsoever. Fired up my Elgato Facecam and was able to get 1080fps60 with no issues. And it was very inexpensive which was a huge Plus. I've heard good things about Startech and I can confirm that this product fit with no issues and is compatible with windows 11. Runs smoooooth! Now I can stack more webcams for the stream! Needed 2 more USB ports.
I have a Corsair 7000D airflow case. It has 4 USB 3.2 gen1 ports on the front header. But my Motherboard can only supply 2 of them. This card supplied the other 2 ports. It was recognized instantly, and windows found the driver by itself. It has 2 ports on the back of the card, but I won't need those. I am only using the internal header to connect to the front panel. It also has a Sata power connecter to supply power for the higher wattage charging standard of USB 3.0 (3.2 gen 1) It was inexpensive and works great.

Nice upgrade
I got this to upgrade the USB 3 situation in my aging computer to take advantage of UASP, which my motherboard does not support. I have noticed a big upgrade in transfer speeds to external drives, especially the external SSD drive. Installation is easy if you are comfortable working inside of computers. Since I have been building them for over 20 years, no problems there. I use this in my Xubuntu box and it works flawlessly. I would not hesitate to get this for another computer, if I needed one.

Adds USB 3 but a little pricey
I was looking to add USB 3 ports to my custom built that only supports USB 2. This card adds two external USB 3 ports as well as an internal USB 3 19-pin connector. Hooked it up to a Rosewill USB 3 card reader which provides a front USB 3 port which is very convenient. As expected speeds have much improved over USB 2. Windows 7 requires drivers to be installed which can be downloaded from the StarTech website. After one reboot everything worked fine. Pros: 19-pin USB internal connector. Two external USB 3 ports Cons: Somewhat pricey

This is a serious USB card
SATA power is the best way to get full power to the USB outlets. This is a no nonsense USB card that is priced right for its quality. Used here to get a single USB 3 connection with full power on the front panel. Solid transfer numbers and no problems powering up a finicky NVME chassis. (I am going to buy a used spinning laptop drive in an enclosure as a test for power. If a USB outlet can power that up, it is all we can expect)

Clear and Simple Instructions
It arrived in one day in factory box. Contained StarTech expansion card, dvd for drivers, directions for installation and an extra low profile bracket for those who need one. I did. Installation was a bit tedious, but only because my pc (Dell Optiplex 7010 SFF) is very cramped inside. Installed it then realized I needed an extension cable for the internal power hook up, so I bought one at Micro center. ($14.95) It was also a StarTech brand. Snapped in the cable and then buttoned the pc up. Placed the dvd in the drive and couldn't figure out what to do. So I hooked up an external USB 3.0 external device and tested it. I copied a large folder of files to it and it took care of that very quickly. Can't say if it's as fast as the factory (now dead) ports, but it still flew! Directions were very clear I needed all the help I could get. When my 3.0 ports were out of commission my 2.0 ports still worked, but slogged along like cold molasses. Thanks StarTech.

Works flawlessly on Windows 10 without any drivers
Works flawlessly on Windows 10 without the need to install any drivers. I needed this card for my front USB 3.0 ports on my case because I accidentally bent the internal USB 3.0 pins on my motherboard. It worked perfectly and gave me 2 extra USB 3.0 ports on the back of my computer too. This could also be used to add one of those 5.25" optical drive blocks that have USB 3.0 ports on the front instead of an actual optical drive. The SATA port is a little tight at first. Might be a good idea to plug it in and unplug it a few times before installing the card to loosen it up a bit.

Doesn't run at USB 3 speeds in Linux.
I chose this card to use in Linux it was supposed to be compatible with Linux. It does work with Linux but does not run at full USB 3 speed. It is faster than USB 2. The problem may be with the old computer that can't deal with the high speed of USB 3. Works perfectly other than the speed.

EXCELENTE TARJETA
Uso Windows 7.

Oculust Rift S funktioniert Endlich ohne Probleme
